Root CM7 Rom...No market? Help please?

Hi, i installed the CM7 Rom and there is no android market installed on it? can anyone help me out with fixing this?

Just flash this in recovery no wipe needed.

Sounds like you need to flash Gapps. http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/407601-rom-yacr-cm-7-1-reppard.html, click the link under Gapps and download. Put it to your SD card and flash as if your flashing a rom, but you don't have to wipe anything.

I also installed this rom and didnt get android market. i downloaded the file to my sd card and rebooted and my phone just has the LG symbol on screen. Does it take a while to fix or should it reboot pretty quickly?

Did you flash it in recovery? It can take a little bit for the system to install all those apps so yea. Not terribly long though. If it doesn't do on the first run, try rebooting it again.

start over, erase everything..flash the rom...boot...reboot into recovery,flash gapps..reboot..and u should have market..if not flash the gapps til u do have market..lol

Still don't have it... flashed gapps like 5 times and nothing. Even tried a plain market .apk and that wouldn't flash either. The phone asked if I wanted to "replace" application, but... there's nothing there to replace.


Any ideas?

Any ideas?

1. Erase everything except sdcard
2. Flash ROM and boot into it, turn on WIFI and connect it (If you don't have service on the phone or any working data connection, the app doesn't show up)
3. Flash gapps
4. Sign into google account
5. Market should work now

I had the same problem with one of the cm7 roms: there was no market app. I installed it manually from sd card but now I have another problem. When I'm trying to use it, it says I must create an account before using market. But I already have an account and I am signed in, I am checking my gmail with no problem, but when it comes to market I can't use it(( I tried couple of different cm7 roms but keep getting the same problem with market account. Also my contacts didn't sync completely. Anybody could help, please
