I just rebooted my phone to clear my nes emulator from the memory and I was prompted for a JF ubdate available! My guess is he already got the US Retail 1.5 ready to push to jailbroken phones. It's 36mb and downloading now. There is also a radio update.

Just letting you guys know incase you havent used the Jf updater application. My phone is currently jailbroken and running Jf Dev 1.5 by the way.

Has anyone else noticed that if you turn off the "USB Debugging" in the JF update, that the root functions are disabled? I noticed when I issued an "su" in the console, I was denied until I re-enabled the usb debugging. Wasn't sure if this was just me ... battery life has been better, and the bluetooth phonebook download into my BMW has been extremely fast, I can use the phone as soon as the unit is discovered.

There's an application on the market - JF Updater. Only install it if you're already running JF on rooted phone though! It has an option to manually check for updates without a need to reboot (of course you will have to reboot to apply update, but not for the sake of just checking). Did it for me. Found radio and JF 1.51 updates. Radio installed, downloading 1.51....

i'm in UK and not sure what the stance is with T-Mobile UK and how much data traffic we can use, so I downloaded the update manually to PC, and the JF Updater app detected it, but wouldn't install automatically. I had to do it manually (I'm running ADP version) - the only change you will see in the about phone section is that it is now on CRB43 and not CRB21 (1.5v). Themes for 1.5 will work but they revert everything back to CRB21 at the moment, so awaiting for them to be updated..

Radio is an updated firmware for phone's radio (that's how it communicates with cell towers!), which was re-done for Cupcake. I am not sure if there's a new radio update for 1.51, or it's the same as we installed when rooted and cupcaked in the first place... I did install radio and it worked fine.

Do not check and install update.zip - this is an update.zip left on your SD from your previous manual update, or elsewhere. You don't want that. You want JF updater to download it's own update (I did radio first and 1.51 second). Once downloaded it will show a system notification saying that it's ready to be installed - just tell it that you agree, and it will even reboot your phone into recovery automatically (do grant it root).

Hope this works for you, it did the trick for me.

you can download the 1.51 manually and install as an update.zip OR use the jf updater app either way works... and the radio is the same updated radio there isn't any difference but you will need to do it if you are coming from an earlier build like rc33...

It worked thank you...it would start then quickly show that triangle..once i pressed the alt=s it worked...now how do i know it updated..the firmware stills shows 1.5 instead of 1.51?

Sounds like you use the wrong build for 1.51 ... I dont know I have not seen the result of the the minor build .... maybe someone else can tell you how to tell if you now have 1.51 rather than 1.5

So I was having problems with calls being dropped and not connecting after I rooted and put JF 1.5 on my phone. I used ota-radio-2_22_19_26I.zip .. is the JF radio update better? I went ahead and installed it in case so I guess I will report tomorrow.

the ...19_261 radios is the correct version for 1.5 ... so if you verified that in the phone settings.... then you are ok as far as the Radios is concerned ,,,
