On the topic of docks, any news of a dock that actually makes use of those pins along the side of the Nexus? I find it mildly stupid to see these micro USB docks, but nothing for the pogo pins.
Why include them if you aren't even releasing a dock for them?
Samsung Galaxy Nexus (SCH-i515 & GT-i9250) Matte Back Smoke Flexible TPU Case & Screen Protector
I have been trying swiftkey on both my touchpad and captivate starting to get better at it. I used swype mostly before
where they HD, what sort of radios did they have? how was the volume control, any issues?
I highly recommend the TPU Case from Samsung Galaxy Nexus : TPU-CASES.COM, - All TPU Cases Shipped Free in the USA. I purchased one for my Droid Bionic, and it blows away any other case I've tried. And they are extremely inexpensive (how can you go wrong for < $10?).
I have no association with the company - I only know about them because I was searching everywhere for a decent look/feel case for my bionic with the extended battery. Someone pointed out TPU-Cases over on XDA.
Anyway, I've already ordered mine in anticipation of Verizon releasing the phone. I spoke with the owner of TPU because I wanted to make sure that their cases account for the additional thickness of the LTE GNex. He told me that it was actually molded for the LTE version, but also fits nicely on the GSM version.
So really, it's just the right to display unregulated chest puffery that has been compromised? This 'ThanksGate 2011-2012' ('cause who knows when VZW will actually release this beast), reminds me a lot of how Minnesota motorcycle forums get testy when the snow flies.
Please please please don't take away my unwarranted 'thankses'! How would I ever get enough to order the super-secret decoder ring!? lol.
CPU Stuff
I've written on both before the dual cores hit, if anyone cares, ping me and I'll look up the old post link(s).
Android (Linux) is a preemptive multitasking OS and for ICS, Google improved task management at the kernel level and I'm excited about it.
Google actually fed this change back into the Linux kernel open source project and I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that this was the first significant feedback/change from Android to the Linux kernel and is being accepted as a welcome path there. (If someone knows better, please correct me, otherwise, I'll go back and check this later if I remember to.)
LOL
But you sparked an interesting memory. For a number of synthetic benchmarks, my Evo 3D is going to show superior performance to the Rezound.
Just like the iP3gs outperforming the iP4 - when you have few pixels to move around, you finish the benchmark faster.
(And no, I don't think the Adreno beats the SGX - srsly, you're crackin' me up.)
NO!
Seriously - please - no more scripting against the site.
The entire matter is under review, please give us time - haste makes waste.
Guys, I just purchased a GSM model case. Since the LTE version is only half a credit card thicker than the GSM version, this case should work on the LTE one just fine right? I mean, half a credit card is nothing.
The GT-i9250 is the UK one right (maybe?). Wasn't to US one going to be just a little thicker? Won't this conflict a bit with a lot of accessories like docks (the three prongs not lining up?) and cases? I haven't bought any accessories yet because they almost all say "SCH-i515 & GT-i9250", so maybe someone can clear something up.
Looks like a pretty cool case. The question I have is does anyone know if any cases will fit inside the docks. I have only had moto phones and the new accessories have started taking into account having a case with the pull out plastic piece. I looked at the samsung GSII and the docks it has don't seem to have this. Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm almost thinking of going home sick the day an announcement is made so I can keep up with the thread.
I have the diztronic tpu Verizon model case for the GSM model and it works perfect.Guys, I just purchased a GSM model case. Since the LTE version is only half a credit card thicker than the GSM version, this case should work on the LTE one just fine right? I mean, half a credit card is nothing.
i think the cases will still fit, i mean its only a thickness difference of about 1/3 the thickness of a dime. but then again, the gsm model tapers quite a bit and the lte may not have that taper to it, but may be more square in shape. have to wait and see
Don't worry it still happens to me from time to time and I have over 600 post. That and when new news of the GNex comes out I sound like a screeching child that got what they wanted for Christmas and has to let everyone know about it even if they don't care.I feel all grown up now. Is hitting the 100 post count, the forum version of puberty? If so my voice is cracking.
There was a side-by-side comparison shot of both versions posted here once, and I could tell the LTE version had a far straighter back than the HSPA+ version, which could cause some problems for case manufacturers.
LOLWhat, too soon for me to become a RezFanBoi, or just wrong thread?
We're about as mellow as they come around here. Like it says on the front the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy in the friendliest font ever seen, Don't Panic.Yeah, you're of course right. Sorry, I shouldn't have recommended more scripting.
Please don't sanction 3vil. Even if there was some inadvertent technical violation of forum rules, it's easily reversed and we all had a good laugh anyway. Ain't the end of the world, amirite?
Sorry if someone has already asked this, I simply don't have the free time to keep up with the thread.
A few pages back someone mentioned TPU cases. I've been looking for a nice case but I always see something like this:

this topic may be pretty offtopic but I don't see what is so bad about sense, moto blur, or touchwiz. Can you not just replace launcher and root and get rid of the bloatware via rooting or something? What else do the extra skins give you that i am missing ?
