I spoke with the owner of TPU Cases about this. The case was designed for the LTE version, but the TPU material is pretty flexible and will stretch or contract for either device. The case for my extended battery bionic is incredible, so I'm trusting TPU Cases to come through on the GNex as well.

As an aside, I just received my GNex case in the mail today (ordered it on Wednesday evening).

So is that a "jelly" case? It says "flexible" but no indication of a hard or soft case. I prefer the jelly for a better grip.

Check this out...

just some food for thought. courtesy of phonearena

It would be a lot easier to see differences if they weren't different colors. The gsm model has that silver down the side that slims its look some. The camera pops out a little more on the LTE model too...I'm not worried about the size though, this will be far from a fat phone

Guys, I just purchased a GSM model case. Since the LTE version is only half a credit card thicker than the GSM version, this case should work on the LTE one just fine right? I mean, half a credit card is nothing.

I bought the one from Diztronic (formerly TPU-Cases) because it was molded specifically for the SCH-i515 (LTE) version. FYI - they do mention that it will fit the GSM version too.

TPU is like a mix between the "jelly" or silicon case and a hard case. Its still quite flexible, but its slicker like a hard case. I dont like the silicon cases because getting them in and out of jeans is tough for me. It seems to just always get stuck on the inside of my jeans, making a pocket monster everytime i take my phone out, which is a lot.

TPU is one piece too, making it to me, better than most hard cases that are 2 and 3 pieces so when you do drop it, crap flies everywhere like a yard sale.

ok, does this help? I blacked out the profile of both versions.

I'd never heard of them until just now, but looks like they're definitely a great find for the price. How is it fit generally around buttons or other areas that need to be exposed?

Like where its cut out for the plugs and headphone jack on my X is a perfect fit...it still hugs the phone just fine. I can barely get my finger underneath where there is an open part of the case for the ports it fits so snug. I don't know, I have tried all cases and its the best for everything. Not multiple pieces, not sticky like silicon, not 4 pieces and HUGE like an Otterbox, and the TPU still protects the phone great, and is cheap. Honestly, the only thing to make it better would be to somehow incorporate a kickstand into a TPU case. I saw a couple on eBay shipping from China, was thinking about pulling the trigger, but even that isn't a huge deal...

Better lens? (Hope, hope!)
The lte version doesn't looked as curved on the front. :/
Hope, yeah. But I bet it's because the side shots for each phone isn't exact...I think the TPU case for the GSM will fit fine for the LTE version...From that TPU case site the guy even says it...

"Since the i9250 is less than a 1/2mm smaller it will also fit perfectly. You only run into issues once you get over 1mm in size difference on TPU cases. The pictures below are of the case on the i9250 GSM version."

Pull the kickstand off another case and rig it to the new case.

That's just a visual effect caused by the different color rendering on the LTE version (i.e. doesn't show the different colors/lighting effects).

I'm pretty sure they aren't sourcing another glass panel/case just for an LTE version. Any increases in size should be to the back of the device.
