***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I think we have confirmed specs on almost every aspect of the GNex, either from Verizon's announcement, or the Google GNex LTE page. The only thing we don't have is a release date.

Let me know which items you're interested in and we'll let you know.

Thanks nj02vette... I am up to date on the info we have but until VZW graces us with a confirmation I take all the info we have as assumptions. (don't mean to be disrespectful... just my take until we have official confirmation from big red).

I think he's talking about confirmed pictures of the LTE Nexus. In all the reviews and media pics, very few (if any) have been of the actual Verizon device. Most of it's been GSM version.

But there doesn't seem to be any problem getting pics of the Droid phones.

I don't think Verizon would push the Galaxy Nexus back even MORE for the Droid 4. They know that would really piss off a lot of their customers. I know you're all about to say "Verizon has already pissed off a lot of their customers" but they can't possibly think it's ok to push it back even more...

Seriously, they were planning on releasing it November 3. It's been pushed back a freaking month.

I think we're WAY past the point of "I don't think Verizon would be that stupid. . ."

They are.

No disrespect taken. I understand everyone's frustrations.

But almost all the specs were listed in the Verizon announcement. The only thing missing was memory size and battery. I think most of us can be confident that the Google page fills in the few missing links, and of course that's why a lot of people freaked out when the memory was changed to 16GB only. But it's back to 32GB now, so all is right with the world.

Wait a second, I just remembered this picture:
galaxy-nexus-verizon-launch.jpg

Looks like the Galaxy Nexus portfolio starts on 11/28 (Cyber Monday). Does this mean advertising or selling? Because Cyber Monday is actually looking pretty good for some sort of official GNex news after all :O

P.S. this also explains the onslaught of Rezound commercials... ;)

Makes sense because the GSM version is the only one released. Naturally there would be more pictures.

I don't have all the answers, but Google/Verizon seem to be playing thier cards close to thier vest. There is an official picture on the Google website.

That's an advertising map, and its at least a month old. Now?? Who knows what they're going to do.

Also the "Motorola portfolio" suggests the droid 4 as well in a way. I'm really thinking we'll at least get a date on monday...

It may be a month old but it seems like everything is set and ready for them to announce something on Monday, and it seems to have been correct so far (Rezound and Razr being pushed through Black Friday... esp. those Rezound ads), but who knows.

I would suggest the above posters modify thier posts to remove any mention of fake rumors.

This was a sensitive point in this thread a few times. Mods don't like such things, much less with "credit" going to AF. While we all know it's in jest, there are others who don't hang out here, may see such a post and react to it.

So people have seen this, and haven't gone back into thier posts to modify. That includes the quoted message too. I'm only trying to help kill this, because the mods won't be as forgiving. :(
