An LG RezoundT? You did see that the Best Buy ad was incorrect, right? The Rezound is made by HTC.

Also, it's possible that I don't know enough about displays, but the Rezound's is a super LCD, whereas the Nitro has LG's AH-IPS (Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching) technology; no Pentile matrix, and reportedly less energy-draining.

I think he meant that the Nitro will basically be LG's version of the RezoundT, not that the RezoundT was made by LG ;)

And the RezoundT doesn't have a Pentile matrix either, although LG's IPS displays ARE supposed to blow any other LCD panel out of the water. Let's just hope they do a little better on the software this time than they did on the G2x...

I like how they keep hammering at the time frame being "later this year". Uh guys, you really only have one month left. Why can't you change those generic announcements and bullet points to something more specific like "next month" or "December".

I know, I know...it's basically a canned message.

They will, in three days.

That's basically an LG RezoundT. It also has a 720p IPS display, LTE, and even more on-board storage. Plus with VZW, you get much better LTE coverage.

I love how you both added the T. That misspelled best buy ad sure has been influential! I thought Rezound was a horrible enough name already...

If Verizon comes out and says its delayed until Christmas then I'm paying my ETF and going to Sprint for unlimited "4g" data on a beautiful Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch...wow that rolls right off the tongue doesn't it? :D

But seriously though, I'm gone if it doesn't come out by Dec. 15th.

and we wonder why Verizon doesn't make an official announcement, come clean and just say it's been delayed. I've been loyal to verizon since '96. they're not known for having good phones. they're known for having the best phone service.

Not moi. If they announced March 2012 I'd be going to the Rezound. As much as I'd like SGN, in my mind it's not "that" much better than the Rezound to wait that long.

I understand where you are coming from. I guess I'm just not that desperate to upgrade from my Dinc. It also looks like you are OK with rooting so that will probably help you with future proofing any phone.

The Rezound is really nice. If the Gnex wasn't coming to Verizon and there was no hope for any Nexus device in the foreseeable future I would probably just go with the latest and greatest Android device but a little grumpily. A few months back I actually considered going to fruit over all the Dinc updating issues but I only considered it for 0.68 seconds.

This sums up my relationship with fruit :)

Lieutenant Commander Data: And for a time, I was tempted by her offer.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: How long a time?
Lieutenant Commander Data: 0.68 seconds sir. For an android, that is nearly an eternity.

Yeah, it was just hilarious that he misspelled it exactly the same way that leaked Best Buy ad did. :D

The real treat was that leaked BB correction sheet, where they fixed the manufacturer but STILL spelled the name of the phone wrong :D

So when it slips into 2012, they don't have to change their message.

I thought so at first as well. However, 99% of the tweets and retweets say something to the effect of:

@SamsungMobileUS I'd rather be reading a Galaxy Nexus release date from @VerizonWireless than waiting in line. #stopwaiting

It's fun to read the re-tweets and recognize so many people from here ;)

As Penguissimo already stated, I was saying it's LG's answer to the Rezound.

As for the display, you all could very well be right that it's SLCD, not IPS. In fact this page does in fact say that. It's not Pentile though.
