Please review, I'm think of it or the Flyer. How "good" is the IR remote stuff? Worth the extra $100?

So far (its early though) I prefer it to the Flyer. As much as I love the metal frame of the HTC, I've been waiting for Honeycomb in this size and quality device for a while.

I haven't had a chance to play with the IR features though.

I'm thinking about getting one. But I don't wanna spend the 400 :( lol. I've thought about holding it off to Black Friday and setting my alarm at 1:00 AM or whenever is the best time for me to get to best buy first and grabbing one, at a hopefully cheaper price. But of course, we still don't know if this tab will be cheaper in the first place.

Should I just buy it now? lol

Have there been any reports of it being discounted that day? I have my doubts since its so new (is it even technically "out"?).

I really like it although the browser seems to be a tiny bit laggy at times.

I haven't seen anything about this tab getting discounted. I may just go ahead and buy it for the hell of it, Christmas is just around the corner so I'll get more cash back for that.

Have you tried a different browser from the market? I use Boat Browser Mini, and it's simple and fast. Not sure if there's a tablet version of it.

For those wanting a review, I apologize for not doing one. In the meantime, its just like the 10.1 or 8.9, just smaller. The construction and software is just like those devices. The one exception is the inclusion of what's like a phone ear speaker at the "top" of the glass. Makes it look like a huge phone haha. Maybe the 4g one can function as such.

I'm liking it so far, mine didn't cone with an SD card though. Also I don't like how the power button and volume buttons are on the same side.

Also do you have, in your application drawer, an app called "screensaver" in which it plays that thing you see in the store on display devices where it plays a bunch of crap telling you about the device? Because mine does and it's weird.

The thing is fast!

Have had mine for two days. Coming a variety of tabs (VS Gtab, Asus Transformer, Acer A100, NColor) and must say very nice! Snappy, great build and chock full of potential. Viewing angles could be better but enjoyable. Can't wait for root to rid myself of that dang Screen Capture widget on the launch bar. I'll bet I have 16 screen captures of....my desktop? LauncherPro helps modify acreage on screen which is sweet. Snagged a backup charger on Amazon for $14 and 6' charger cable for $10. Hope to get a nice case "sometime". Looks like the Galaxy Tab 7 screen protectors will fit (only .1 inch difference). All in all, most pleased. Love the 7" form factor. Hope root and CWM isn't far away!

I have been playing with the Kindle Fire I got for my wife and kids and find I like the 7 inch size, so easy to use and hold. I am right now going back and forth between this and the acer a100.. this one is so much nicer but the 150 bucks more is what gives me pause..

The screen on the Acer is garbage. Horrible at some viewing angles, which is something I read about in reviews of products all the time and dismiss but with that one I understand why it's a big deal. To me it's worth the extra cash but that's just my opinion.

Yeah I have heard that, also heard something about if you hold it upside down it is better though that may have been another tab.

But, I am also a little hesitant on the Samsung because Samsung has been so terrible at timely Android upgrades on their phones. Seem to remember swearing I would never buy another Samsung.. hmm but then again I beleive I said I would not buy another Samsung phone.. ;)

I got one too. Ordered from Amazon last week and I'm finding it is going everywhere with me beside my Galaxy SII phone. I pull out my phone a little bit more only because it has 4G and a wrist strap (making it the easiest to carry. My iPad has sat on its charger for a week. I use my Asus Transformer as a netbook these days. I find I just don't like that screen as much.

Battery life seems decent. It holds a charge well overnight. Video usage tends to burn through my battery the most. I get around 6-7 hours of video playback. The unit does get very warm at the bottom when I've used it heavily for over an hour.

I also dropped it by accident today on a hard wood floor. Landed face down smack on the floor (while bouncing off a corner first). Not even a ding on the thing. So much better than my iPad.

Only thing I don't care for is something to do with the OS. The always-on taskbar at the bottom of the screen for Android. I wish it was at the top instead. I always seem to hit a button by mistake.
