Root Combining ROMs

Just wondering if it's possible to combine features of 2 separate ROMs into 1 and if so how.

What I would like to do is take the bottom menu bar from Soab (sense 3.5) and put it into Eternity 3.5.

Not sure how plausible this really is...if anyone even knows what file that menu bar is I'm not opposed to trying to throw it together and seeing how screwed up I can get my phone.

I would need to see some screen shots to see what exactly you want to do but it should be possible, may be difficult and a PITA tho

Are you talking about the launcher?

If so,eternity has the option to use the bliss launcher. You can find it in infected tweeks

Ha thanks, but Scotty took care of me...I'm slow sometimes...some of these ROMS have so many little tweaks that can be done that they're super easy to overlook. Thanks for responding!

So I do have this question again actually, same one as before, but I'd like to put the SoaB launcher into Liquid Thundersense...thoughts on how to pull this off?

I just really like the phone/menu button look as opposed to the full bar that's standard on HTC.

I think it would actually stop people from posting dumb questions, however, this isnt one of them. Then again, if forums had this option, my posts would would more than likely drop by a third lol

Most people will overlook all of the Infected Tweaks settings because most people are smart enough to know not to screw with things theyre not sure what are, but at the same point, this hampers their knowledge. Those of us that poke around our ROMs will know these things though.

To get this moved over to a ROM that doesnt have it will take a bit of finagling. Well, a lot of finagling to be honest. I would recommend talking to Liquid and asking him if he could put the Bliss(not soab) launcher in there or giving that option via flash.

Probably a good idea. I'm relatively tech savvy, but this is the first phone that I've rooted and messed around with. The issues is I don't know where to find the necessary .apk's to decompile/recompile and I don't have enough fingers to cross to hope to God it actually works right haha.

I'll try that instead. Liquid is doing some good things...it just sucks knowing that I like so many different things from so many different ROMs and have no real way or ability to combine on my own.

Well, for me I just started using sense, so this stuff is all new for me. I was an avid GoLauncher user and that gave me all of the options I needed/wanted. There are quite a few tutorials out there that could help you get what youd like achieved, however its going to take a LOT of patience, reading and time. At the end of things it will give you a much greater understanding of things however and leave you with more options than the average person. Its moe than just apks however, like Yeahha mentioned earlier, its going to be framework edits and changing how things work. With that bliss launcher being a part of sense 3.5, it may be easier to just run a bliss ROM or one like Eternity that already has the option to switch. Not really sure how a 3.0/3.5 fusion would work however. lol.
