I just set up Google voice on my Rezound to keep from having to pay for text messaging. Messaging works great and I can get incoming calls using my new Google number but I can't figure out how to place calls using my Google Voice number. It always dials out using my Verizon number.

Has anyone been able to dial out using voice's number?

Go into your google voice settings. Just open the app, setting and there should be an area that asks what you want google voice to do with options like "call out using google voice", "call out using your own number", "only use google voice for international calls", etc. Select "use google voice for outgoing calls" and you should be good to go

Fun fact: when someone calls your google voice number and you answer, if you press 4 the call is recorded

I have two google accounts, but only one is showing up in google talk on my phone. Of course it is the one I don't have google talk set up with. I have yet to find a way to change the account. It is a long story how this came to be, but if I delete the first one I also lose most of my paid apps at this point.

Any thoughts on how I could change the account? I contacted google about transferring my apps and they don't have a setup for this as of yet I was informed. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. It must have been late when I tried this last night. Sure enough, if I set it to always make calls via Google voice, it works as expected.
