Ok, why are the soft keys gray now instead of the black that makes them match with the front of the phone? The gray looks pretty dumb, I hope that isn't going to be stuck like that on the Verizon version.
I don't think that picture is accurate of what we'll see in person. The notification bar seems to be grayish/black as well, which I'm sure will be a true black.
The lady at my Verizon store said the purpose of running the Double the Data promotion was to get people off of 3G and onto 4G. Apparently the iPhone is sucking up the 3G bandwidth and they want to entice Android people to use 4G.

I sure hope so! Just hadn't seen any pictures with it gray before now and those apparently are coming from Verizon. Until I see them in person though I'm not going to worry too much.

Curious, in the recent past (say 1 year), has Verizon ever done a preorder release w/ out any type of press release? Just trying to gauge the day's uncoverings.
Yep I noticed that too! Also the volume rocker doesn't have +/- "engravings" as was previously thought. Looks like those previously leaked side view pictures were incorrect
Whoa, explosion of binary! Good thing I had actual work to do today, I'd have been totally lost. I was following along with the image announcements though, I expect to see you all on IRC tonight for the "unofficial" pre-order and/or maybe release party!
Long time lurker first time poster. I went into my local VZ last night asking when the DD promotion might end. The manager assured me that the promotion will continue through 12/31. The irony of the story is when I was waiting there for the manager the music playing in the background was the same as that in the Galaxy Nexus: Calling All video!

but is there something i'm missing? why do carriers all of a sudden want to change their packages of data because of one silly fruit phone? i was under the impression that android used up a lot more background data. i suppose sprint's been hangin in there tough, but there was talk about them moving away from that model and joining the tiered ranks.
