Help signal bar color

sometimes the signal bars are white and sometimes they are blue...what does this mean?

I think the white one means that the phone is trying to establish a connection with a tower and the blue means you already have a connection. I could be wrong though.

I believe blue means that you are connected to the google serves for things like push email, and white means you are connected to the tower

I was under the impression that when it is white it is indicating that the connection isn't based on anything extra and only indicates the phone signal strength. When it's blue it indicates the strength of either the 3G or 4G connection from the phone carrier.

Wifi would leave it white because it has nothing to do with the carrier's signal strength.

I believe that either white or blue represents the signal strength and blue indicates a data connection is present. I've noticed that when mine is white I can't get data or if I do it turns blue moments later.

oh cool...cause right now my wifi is blue and my signal bars are blue. sometimes wifi is blue and signal bars are white. very confusing!! also its so weird, cause my thunderbolt showed the voice signal strength and my motorola droids show the 3G signal strength!!

Blue means there is background data running. I always have this off unless I am looking through the market.

It saves battery if you have it off.

Blue means data connection is active and synchronized with Google servers.

It is in the manual AFAIR.
