Who's strongest?!?!?!

I would say that if at his most angry, like in World War Hulk, nobody is stronger than The Hulk. The one exception could be The Sentry, who many would argue isn't even a "real" super hero.

If we are digging deep put Gladiator from the X Men books in there too.

leaks galore, the 8th is looking good! it didn't take me nearly as long to catch up this morning with all the hide tags, but reading through the posts was a lot less entertaining. :(

i personally miss the off topic posts/pictures. it's what made this thread fun, and it's what makes this forum, as a whole, differ from all the rest. clicking show 20 times per page gets old fast.

That is the prettiest car dock I have ever seen! I want it!

that's awesome! I know some guys who work in post, but mostly for movies. Composers are so talented - I'm doing some audio work right now and it's hard stuff! And yes please be the inside source!!

I WANT IT TOO!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!1111 one one one

I just watched the video:
Genuine Samsung Galaxy Nexus Vehicle Dock - ECS-K1F2BEGSTD - YouTube

IT uses the pins for connection. I think it was the time in the car dock with the cable hanging out of the port that put all the weird pressure on my Droid's port, eventually causing it to break.

And an audio port! I might actually use my phone for music... have to look into those little features that made me keep my iPod around (gapless MP3 playback, soundcheck-like normalization, shuffle by artist) and see if progress has been made.

It has a hole for the camera to be usable! Combine that with that time-lapse video feature, and I can make a cute video of every road trip I take.

I'll have to see if I can find his phone number... the 24 music was cool, but he also did some video game music, one of the James Bond games, and said that it was really fun to do, because he had to compose different feeling movements for each section, depending on how they did in the game.

Instead of putting all OT conversations in the hide tags, would it be possible to create an OT tag? You could then have a user setting to either hide or show all OT posts such that you could make both sides happy (in theory).

I think the hardest part is deciding On vs. Off Topic. There's a gray period and opinions can differ. It's a hard problem to solve, and unique to this situation really.

It's worth taking a look at, but then if some On Topic stuff gets hidden, I could see complaints saying people are using the Off Topic tag wrong. This particular issue has been around since pretty much the beginning of the Dinc thread.

Even I was scratching my head watching the first video and reading the comments. It would be rather asinine for the GNex not to auto-rotate when placed into the landscape dock. That would pretty much defeat 1/2 the purpose of the dock for me to some degree. I know the Moto phones used the magnet trick to activate certain dock modes, but I would expect something not requiring a special launcher to be able to handle such in native ICS. I doubt the tester just had rotation turned off, though I suppose that's possible. Someone please tell me what I'm overlooking here.

I forgot the link but saw yesterday that Moto is soon coming out with Razr Max. It's basically the Razr with HD screen instead of qHD. At this rate, I can see that current Razr folks will be pissed off early next year like Razr did to Bionic.

Sounds like the US version of the one they recently showed to be arriving overseas...

Just watched it too! The ports build in is soooooo nice. I hated all the cords dangling around - the OG car mount had you plugging everything straight into the phone, so you'd have to do it everytime you got in. It was really annoying. Best designed car mount I have ever ever seen!

Do it! :) I wish I was more musically inclined, but it's great to work on the production side of film and entertainment, because I get to hire and work with such cool talented poeple

That does look like a very impressive car dock. My biggest fear though is ventilation. My OG Droid would get very hot when navigating, plus my car doesn't have A/C. Summer trips usually resulted in my phone getting so hot that plugged in it lost more battery. So I would run it unplugged with one hand either holding it in front of the fan or hiding it in some shade, then transitioning to plugged in when in it was cool enough.

That car dock looks like a coffin in terms of trapping in heat.

I hope they have this in the VZW store, cause it is what I am using my $50 Living social credit for.

True, but you will not find a photographer semi-pro or pro who considers a 50mm f2.8 lens fast as your depth of field is going to be deeper the wider your lens is at all constant apertures. That's the reason a 300mm 2.8 is fast and 50 2.8 is not. Think of it this way -- if we are talking about the amount of light entering the lens and it's ability to allow the photographer to hold the lens steady you have the "rule" that at iso 100 take xmm lens and you must have a maximum shutter speed of 1/x to have a sharp image, so for a 50mm lens you need a shutter speed of 1/50 (or more like 1/60s since 1/50s is hard to do on most cameras), now for a longer lens like that 300 you need 1/300s to have a sharp shot which can be difficult to do in less than bright conditions, having a larger aperture allows you to do this more easily, with the 50mm you need 1/50 which is much less difficult to do and would easily be accomplished by f2.8. They don't even make prime 50mm lenses with a maximum aperture of 2.8. When we talk about a fast lens, we're talking about the amount of light let in in a given time so, no, again a prime 50mm f2.8 lens is not fast.

I'll concede the point that there are faster primes than f/2.8 than there are zooms, but f/2.8 is f/2.8 no matter how you slice it. I think you're trying to say that fast is a relative term and relative to what else is available, f/2.8 isn't fast for certain focal lengths but is for others. To that point I will agree, but f/2.8 is still fast at any focal length, maybe just no the fastest.

You will hate me if you open all of these
HI

Some analysis:

Estimating from the page source (I did not bother to count), you used about 700 lines of code for those 45 hides. I did do a quick string.length type operation on your code ,and that is about 53480 characters. That is about 427840 bits = 0.0510025024 MB. Now, in terms of page requests, that is =~ 1MB/20 page requests. Using 4.6 x 10^-6 Joules per bit (from here, that is about 1.968064 Joules per page request. Since there are about 39.3 kJ/g for coal, you are wasting 4.8346056

Just drove in from Lurk City, thought I would stop in for some coffee...
My DX had a slip and fall accident back in September, so i've been phone-less and rocking my wife's Ipad 2 for net on the go while holding out for the SGN. Also had an Eris previously, and am excited to try out Samsung for the first time after Moto and HTC. Heck, i'm just excited for something that sends and recieves phone calls. Thanks to all the regs in here who've made this forum lots of fun to read. Hope there are some big ol' smiles for us all on the 8th...

Semi off topic semi on...
Are you are still thinking the 8th for the Transformer Prime too?
If so, my head is going to explode from over-geeking that weekend.

...although the wife may tell me that the Prime is a family gift FOR CHRISTMAS. I can always use the "but hun, I need to make sure it isn't a lemon, because if it is we won't be able to enjoy it on xmas like you intend." Has worked for YEARS!

Im hoping this comes with a little pad so this can be suctioned on the dash...my radar dector is taking up my window real estate.

I'm a little disappointed in the desktop and car docks. They allow ZERO room for cases. I own a Nexus One with a case and it's always been a pain in the rear to take it off every time i want to charge or dock it. Why can't they have it be made to accommodate cases in some way? Even having invisible shield on it looks like a really tight fit (read: too tight).

Your "Google Contacts" can technically include anyone you've ever emailed. I wouldn't want all those people on my phone. Personally, I like the Verizon Backup Assistant. It's a simple and easy way for me to transfer my important contacts from one phone to another.

Edit: It also includes people you're following on Google+ now. I follow a lot of people I don't necessarily need in my contacts. I know a lot of people will disagree, but I really do like Verizon's Backup Assistant.

I find this very annoying. I email a lot from craigslist so my "contacts" can get cluttered. Yeah I have it set to phone numbers only which is pretty sweet, but when I go to email somebody I can get a long list if i type the right letter. Somedays I go into my gmail or contacts and delete all the craigslists email addresses.
