I went to that location last week. I live in the university area so I usually go to the Concord Mills location or the one on Tryon just past Harris Blvd. The sales rep at that Northlake location is the one who told me it wouldn't be out until after the holidays.

I grew up in the Huntersville area. I remember before northlake mall existed lol

I have not missed one post for some time - been lurking for a while today...

So - what's next? Well, let us just see.

I see we have one group organizing a bus ride. And I think that's great - if it's like a Japanese limousine bus because otherwise, Machete don't text and Early don't bus.

And then we have the air cruise to Australia. Also great if we want to risk drunken BlackBerry managers causing us to lay over in Vancouver and missing our arrival by 18 hours while they get arrested.

And with all of outcry going up and down along with cases being compared to Jello, I'm surprised that our Thunderbolt owners haven't resurrected the idea of the Million Nexican March, because mods made jello before and we can do it again.

But we are talking cruising here, now aren't we?

Well - I think it's simply time we all get our dancing shoes on because for me, voguing never did cut it - it's the motion and the moves, that's what I think.

And if I had a boat

Have about $200 budget for a gift (for myself), I really don't need anything... but browsing around two things have sort of caught my eye. Nintendo 3DS as I really do miss the old Nintendo games. And the Kindle Fire, as I'd like a tablet, however it is only 7", and I would prefer a 10"er...

3DS is sweet, but i find myself turning off the 3D quite frequently because it starts to give me a headache. at least they give you the option though, it would be a pain to use in 3D all the time.

I have both a 7" tablet (nook color) and a 10" tablet (g-tab), and i honestly find myself using the nook color far more often. While the 10" screen is nice, the 7" is just so much easier to carry around.

you could get a 10" for about that much on craigslist. In fact, if you're going with the 3ds I'd urge you to look on craigslist as well. You'll save plenty of $

If you can hold off, rumor has it the Kindle Fire will be coming out with bigger sizes in 2012. Here's the link:

I am worried that Verizon will somehow screw this up.

I know you can root, but I would prefer not having to root just to get OS updates.

While they can't be uninstalled, they can be disabled. And we aren't 100% sure how the updating system will work. We do know they will come direct from Google but we aren't sure if that means Verizon has to poke around first?

I don't think there is much Verizon could screw up besides the launch (and they seem to be doing a good job at that).

I think this is where most people make bad assumptions. There are no "rules" to what a Nexus is. A Nexus is whatever Google wants it to be. Whether that's "bloatware" or not.

Google never posted a set of rules to what a Nexus device is, we only have assumptions based on what they've done in the past.

Right, I know they can be disabled, but here is what I'm thinking:

1. Google releases an update to Android.
2. The update does not contain Verizon apps.
3. Verizon has to verify their apps work with the updated OS.
4. Once verified, Verizon gets a special build of the Android OS that includes their apps, which cannot be uninstalled.
5. Verizon releases the update.
