I know the OC 1.5 Kernel for CM7 has the same touchscreen as MIUI and has multitouch but is there a way someone can teach me how to/add more finger inputs? I want to play some multi touch games however it only recognizes two fingers and it really isnt playable that way...

Well if there's one person you want to ask about all that it's Isaac or you can try google.

you could also talk to b_randon14... he made a cm7 kernel, and im sure he'd be willing to try what you request

Well yea he's made a kernel but I don't know if he knows how to mess with the touchscreen driver and add more finger support (no offence to him) if he can then that's cool, but I know that Isaac has messed with and improved the touchscreen driver and said that it would probably be possible to add more finger support just he has no use for it so I would personally try him first...

Most new phones can only support dual touch points. it is a hardware limitation

Well Isaac said that it should be possible... The worst thing that could happen is it wouldnt work...

Yeah, it should be possible. If the panel can register 2 simultaneous inputs, I don't see why it couldn't pick up 3-10 multi-touch. Do I want to add 3-10 MT? No. I don't have any use for that. The driver is available for anyone to modified though.

darn ill keep researching i might be able to find something

EDIT: (Please excuse my noobiness as im still barely learning about all this) Is it possible to maybe somehow port or even implement another touch screen driver into this phone?

Probably from another phone that uses the same chip as the MT... it uses kernel/drivers/input/touchscreen/bi041p_ts.c But it's easier said than done.
