Root rebooting htc boot screen

Will rooting my phone stop the rebooting htc boot screen? It seems to have been mostly when I'm browsing the internet and then hit the home button

does your phone do an actual reboot? or are you ralking about the htc white screen when hitting the home button? if so then mostlikely yes rooting will help with that. most custom roms are optimized to run more smoothly so that you will not have nay issues like that. also with rooting you can wipe dalvik cache and cache whic fixes most small issues like that.

however, if your phone is truly rebooting after hitting the homescreen then something else is not right. you might want to take the phone in first and see what sprint says.

either way rooting is the best thing you can do to your phone. it really makes the evo a much better phone and the development community behind the evo is amazing. ICS is coming to evo! there is already an ICS rom out but it is an alpha right now and there are some things not working yet. but the thing i like about my evo is the battery life. i can get easily 24-30 hours on it with heavy usage.

so read this http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html and go and get your root on:D

ok so i moved the conversation to your thread here.

yeah it is the htc white screen.I really want to root but scared of messing up my phone
do not be scared. rooting is a fairly easy process. and you have to really really try and brick your phone. just read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html a few times and make sure that you have everything setup before trying to root your phone. and please ask as many questions as you need. we can even walk you through the process if you like.
