Get RAZR for $80.00

Well THAT frickin sucks!! I just got my Razr from a Verizon store and now this. Called em and they don't price match so I gotta figure out how to do this. Return the phone to the store, what does that do to my contract with them? I was contract free end of Nov with em. And I'm within the return period so.....does this mess up my phone no if I cancel and then go buy from HH?? I'm gonna be pissed if I can't figure this out. They said some crap about HH not having 'the same contract'. I told em it was the same 2 years they gave me! Then she changed her tune and said 'well they don't offer the same warranty we do. We offer a year warranty.' Doesn't the friggin phone come with that from the manufacturer?? Anything to save a high dollar sale I guess....

Here's a question: do you have to have a phone to still be under contract? When I return this, for the short time it takes to get to Best Buy to buy the new phone I won't have a phone on Verizon. Do they allow this or will I need to re port my phone number to my old Droid and then RE port it to the new Razr???? Or can I just return the phone, go get the new one and be done with it without having a phone during that short period of time??

Just want to let you guys know if your looking at the RAZR, HHGREG has it for $80 w a 2 year upgrade. I verified and went to Bestbuy to upgrade.

Item: Verizon Droid RAZR? by Motorola (2-year contract required)

Thank you!! for the heads up. Our local HHGregs is advertising in the Sunday paper the Droid 2 for $80. but your link shows the Razr for $80. Did Best Buy take the online add or did it have to be a newspaper ad? I have been trying to get Costco to price match, but they won't. So I will do Best Buy tomorrow if they will do the deal. Thanks for the heads up.

I swear Ft Myers FL. is like living in a 3rd world country. I just checked "availability" online and the $80. deal is NOT AVAILABLE in my area. Does that suck..or what?

Youre gonna have to reactivate your old phone and then go buy the new one at BB.

Does anyone have an idea why HHGreg does not have the $80. deal available in all parts of the county? I put zip codes in for all over Florida and it shows as "unavailable". That is strange and I live in a 4G area.

On Edit 12/5
I called the local HHGreg store here in Ft Myers. They tried to do the $80. deal, but could not. They made several phone calls and the answers they received from higher ups that it was a "special promo" for certain areas. They were puzzled why it was on their national web site. So if you have it your area jump on it!

Thank you so much! I bought my razr from Walmart on Black Friday thinking I got a good deal cuz they gave me a $100 walmart gift card. I went in yesterday with the printed ad and they tried to turn me away, but in the end they did a price match from the $198 (price after $100 gift card) and gave me the difference on another gift card for $127!!! Now I'm buying a new wireless printer with the money I saved :D Happy happy joy joy!!!

Thanks so much for this post, i just picked one up at hhgreg for 80 bones i went to best buy cause i am a rewards zone member and the manager was trying to give it to me for like 180 buck so i went literaly across the street to hhgregg and got it, at bb the price was like 80 at hhgreg website, when i went to hhgreeg 5 minutes away walking it was gone of their site the dude was mad cool, he was like ok, and i ran into an old buddy there too. I got to play with a razr earlier at work too and that motivated me to do all this..

Wow, I evidently got in just under the wire! Did it last night, returned my Razr to the Verizon store, where I bought it for $249, and went and bought it at BestBuy after they price matched. Very easy all around to do, no hassles whatsoever. With tax and $55 in reward zone certs, I paid total $26 and change!! Had to pay the restock fee of $35 but NOT complaining one bit! Still saved me a boatload of $$!!:D

Probably but amazon should still have it for much cheaper than anyone

Question: I got mine as an "early upgrade" through Verizon for the $300 (+$20) price. Would I qualify for the Amazon "upgrade" price if what I'm really using is the early-upgrade? My official upgrade would not have been for another full year.

EDIT: nvm, when I clicked-thru the Amazon shopping cart process, it upped the price to $229 once I selected being an existing customer. Not enough of savings to justify it anyway.
