Your review of the HTC sensation.

I am wondering if a phone like this is reliable: no freezing, crashing or lagging ?

Can you root it easily ?
What's the battery life like ?
Dose it overheat easily ?
Dose the live weather wallpaper run permanently or how did you get it to run permanently ?
Are there any features that you
like ?
Do you like the UI ?
What are its pros and cons ?
What is your overall opinion, would you recommend the phone ?

I used to have an LG GT540. It was my first android. It spent about a month as stock standard and then got absolutely thrashed as far as modding went.
My HTC on the other hand is a lot more expensive and I'm less reluctant to push it in case of being bricked. In saying that though, it is rooted (very easy process) and now running a sense 3.5 mod (also very easy with an awesome step by step guide).
I don't get lag, nor do I get FC's, except for my latest update of friendcaster pro, but I think that is an issue unrelated to HTC.
Yes it does heat up very quickly when running certain applications, especially games.
I love the sense UI, after coming from a very basic android it was one of the features that sold me. However for some it's something that gets removed quickly as it does use a lot of memory.
Battery life is ok for me, but I'm currently using the revolution rom, combined with Juice defender ultimate. I do have to charge it every night though.
I would recommend the phone, especially if your upgrading from a much earlier android version.
The only cons I have is the fact that it only has 1GB of internal storage, and the soft menu keys are very sensitive, the size of the phone means my hand seems to brush over them a lot and it can be annoying. If this was a feature in a rom to switch certain ones off such as the search key it would be good.

- Before rooting i only remember one crash which was actually caused by a bad app
- Rooting is very easy, just follow guide on XDA
- battery lasts me day (7am till around midnight) with about 20% battery left on average
- Phone gets warm under heavy loads like gaming but never feels too hot
- personally don't use live wallpaper so can't comment
- Sense UI is very good, best of any manufacturer loaded software but i am currently running ADW a Sense-less rom
- If you're looking for a phone now then the Sensation is very good, although personally i'd be waiting for MWC in Feb next year to see what's coming.

I find that using the Bricked kernel (Bricked 1.6 Beta2) I don't get a hot phone which I do when using the faux123 0.2.6 kernel that is default in the Android Revolution HD ROM, try it and see, all you have to do is flash it in recovery like a ROM or any other mod.
