Sensation Update to 1.50.401.1

Would be REALLY useful if they bothered fixing the incredibly irritating screenshot bug. I want to throw my phone at the floor about 5 times a day because of it. New marketplace is all well and good, but I'd rather have a phone that works.
What "screenshot bug"? If you mean it taking a screenshot when you hold down the power button and then press home, that is not a bug. It is a very useful feature that was introduced in the recent Sense update. It makes taking screenshots to show others very easy - useful if you want to keep a shot of a web page for example. I have never managed to take a screenshot accidentally yet. Unless your phone has a fault?

Peter he obviously means when pressing the home key it randomly takes screen shots for no apparent reason. It happens to me and it pisses me right off. Cracking phone we have but some bad issues too like pressing the home and the white screen HTC logo appears and reloading. Happens quite a bit to me.

Alan - never happened to me unless I am holding down the power button at the same time, in which case that is what it is supposed to do. Hence my point about a faulty phone.

Can't remember having the white HTC screen either, unless I switch it off or an app may occasionally crash, which I put down to the app. Does the white screen happen when you are in any particular app and want to get back to home?

Can't say i've ever had a problem with random screen shots and the white screen when pressing home sounds as though you're running a task killer, which if is the case then you should stop doing so and remove the app. The issue will then resolve itself

It's not the task killer. I've noted that there is a "rebounce" issue on the on/off key, sometimes you switch on the phone, but the key remains in the active state in the software, so when pressing Home it takes the Screenshot. To remove the issue you have to press the main switch again.

I have seen that suggestion as well. Someone else suggested that the little return spring for the on/off button is a bit week, and a bit of dirt can get in and stop the the power button from properly returning. So maybe take the back off and have a poke around ion that area may prevent it happening again.

It can happen anytime mate. It I am in an app, email, text etc.... I'll press home and that happens. Also recently my phone just keeps setting itself to full brightness even though I have set to auto.
