There's something wrong with me, isn't there.

Indeed. Asides from being a lawyer, being encased in carbonite, and having strained relations with your sister, I hear a rumor floating about that you have some kinda thing about the olsen twins and their movies.

Hopefully that last nasty rumor will be squashed later tonight. Some say about 12:30, but I'm not buying it. I'm thinking later.

j/k Han, you're ok in my book

So I guess my question to you then would be: What are they telling every other customer (your average customers) who are in their stores right now? Or tomorrow, or the next day? They have to tell them the same thing or show them the door and shutter the windows.

I wouldn't blame VZW if this is why they are delaying. It would suck, because I don't get 4G where I live anyhow, but I would understand that gameplan. (I travel every weekend; that is when I'll utilize 4G.) But on the flip-side, I don't see how they couldn't launch as planned and sell it as they currently are with every other phone on their shelves. "Thats a great choice Mr ZX. You're going to be floored with the 4G speeds you get with this device when the service is restored."

I have mixed feelings about this. I want the phone yesterday but I am sure it would be flamed if LTE didn't work even if we knew it was a network problem. But in the end I would prefer the phone in hand.

Why do you think it took us 2 tries to get Blago?

I'm not the only one! :p

I surmise that just chasing politicians - were that sort of activity encouraged from on high - would require an entire division with the Chicago DA's office...Famous, or is it infamous? I always forget...:)

Add: so there are other ADAs looking for the Nexus as well? Great to know!

It's obvious now that the MotoRazr has indeed become aware. It has sensed the threat that is the Galaxy Nexus and is doing its best to stop it's launch. It's only a matter of time until the gov't starts up its international security system and the Razr takes control. Friday is Judgement Day, and there is only one thing that can save us.

da da, da da-dun... da da, da da-dun... da da, da da-dun... da da, da da-dun...

terminator music if it wasn't obvious...

See, this is what I don't get. Stores have the phone in stock. If it weren't for the whole "do not display/sell until 12/9" thing, they could easily just hand them over to customers. So how can Verizon "delay" this thing? It's out there people. It's not in the corporation's hands anymore...

Riiiiight, but those employees are in the corporations hands.... er pockets. Nobody is going to risk their jobs/careers/businesses over an angry phone fanatic or said phones release. Little lesson for ya Scott regarding corporate politics: when The Man says dance, you dance. When he says sit down, shut up or pick up your crap and leave- you listen.

Well that scenario is pretty vague and outlandish, but I think the adults in the room get where I'm going with that.

Oh I know, I get that argument. But again, I don't live in 4G coverage so I don't really care if those who are feel burned. Sorry

edit: I should end this with I'm still getting steady 3G where I am too. Thats why I'm specifically using the 4G reference and saying that I'd take the phone now (given the problems with data across the country currently)

It is in corporate's hands though. People can still get fired and retailers can get their licenses to cell verizon phones taken away.

VZ says:

Doesn't seem enough to push a launch back.

Something's up, and it's not 4G. They can't get their act together.

I'm still sayin' Droid 4 launch is tomorrow and that is reason enough to remove hard date on Nexus of Friday from view of sales peeps. If no D4 tomorrow, I say Nexus won't land until AFTER it does, whenever that would be?

Basically meaning end of year Droid might be holding up the Nexus.

That's my latest theory and input anyhow.

Nah we would have got a presser today if the phone were releasing tomorrow.

Have you seen anything definite on a Droid 4 release tomorrow that I missed? As far as I remember we've had more "hard evidence" that the Galaxy Nexus was/is coming out Friday than we did on the Droid 4 coming out tomorrow. TIA.
