Help MIUI Paint Roller notification????

Ok so this should be a simple fix, but I got about zero sleep last night and I'm in full OCD mode. My MIUI system notification them looks like a paint roller. No problem there but you cant access the buttons on the bar when in landscape mode. How do I change that theme? I've tried changing themes and status bars, but nothing seems to work.
