Have any of you used the bigger lapdock.

I'm currently using the lapdock 100 and I really like the functionally of it. For emails and browsing.

I wanted to know a few things:

How is the performance? I notice some lag on the 100 and wonder if it would be worse with a larger screen.

Is the track pad good? I find the 100's track pad to be unusable the BT mouse I have connected works great.

Any other advise tips would be great to.

Thanks

I have tried one, but the display quality via the HDMI connection is blurry and the touch pad is a tad laggy. I am used to using my Thrive and the display looks FAR better. Of course, the Thrive is $150 more. Well spent though IMO, as opposed to the lapdock.

You can find the Thrive and Iconia A500 as examples for $300, so even less of a price difference, but all have much better display quality.

Heck, with the Transformer Prime coming out, a lot of current tabs will probably drop more in price.

I got my 500 in the mail today and what a diffrence fromt he 100. The 500 is a huge step in the right direction, having a full keyboard and large display with a functional track pad is sweet. The overall build quality is great.

If I didn't know this was powered by my phone I would hink it was a normal laptop and I think that is the point.

I would highly recommend the lapdock 500.

Not sure how you tried one when you wrote this on the 9th? The Lapdock 500 went on sale for the first time anywhere 12/14/2011. And by the way, the Lapdock 500 sells for $249.97 once you sign into your verizon account and the quality of the display is also excellent on the 500....far superior IMO to the original lapdock and the Lapdock 100. Just wanted to clear up a couple misconceptions you may have put out there that influence people in the wrong direction.
