Obviously they should institute a secret release.

Go to the store say the passphrase "Polly has a pocket of tiddlywinks" to enable Galaxy Nexus sales.

Just think, people who specifically know can buy the phone. Others can wait for the commercial release. People who would go to these ends would obviously forgive any small hiccups before an official release.

Someone posted pages upon pages ago regarding the contents of the costco accessories goodie bag. The user said something for the car was included. Does anyone know if that included accessory is the car mount?

In other news, I just called my local costco (I'm in north-central jersey close to a few of you) and was told they have not received any GN shipments, nor accessories, which i was told will come with the phones (not sure I buy that)

My Costco said it was "a car charger" but they did not specify if this meant an actual car dock with integrated charger, or just a run of the mill car charger (I'm suspecting this). Either way, it's $10 off Verizon's price, along with some goodies, so unless my wife needs the car, I'll be heading to my local Costco to pick up my phone.

The more I read, the more I'm sure that this is the phone I want. I know the delays and Verizon's tight-lipped obfustication have been frustrating, but I also know now that waiting 6+ months to get ICS on the Razr or Rezound would be unacceptable. Honestly, I don't understand the posts here saying things like "convince me not to get a Razr/Rezound/iPhone" because the Nexus is head and shoulders above anything else out right now, full stop. This is the only phone that I can fathom owning for the next 18+ months while quad-core phones and 28nm processors are being perfected.

Stay the course, friends. The wait is almost over.

Where is there an announcement of an exclusive with Sprint? Google specifically stated Wallet isn't on the VZW GNex because VZW requested it not be. Also VZW said they were still in commercial negotiations about it. That means negotiations about money. It's not on the unlocked GSM Nexi because Google doesn't support international phones with wallet right now, it's Sprint only.

For right now, right at this moment, this is a Sprint-only application. Like I said, it is not on any other phone in the US, Nexus or otherwise. You can buy an unlocked, unbranded, Nexus S and you won't be able to use it without rooting and hacking it on there. You can buy the Nexus S direct from Best Buy, in the United States, unlocked, or subsidized on ATT, whichever you prefer, and you won't be getting Google Wallet.

What everyone is expecting is tantamount to someone expecting that you are going to be able to get VZW Navigator on a T-Mobile phone, because T-Mobile doesn't have the authority to block it so you should be able to use it. Wrong.

When Google Wallet came out, Google explicitly stated, this functionality is available on the Nexus S 4G from Sprint. And they left it at that. Nowhere did they say this will work for any other device. Google has also not announced that it will work on the Galaxy Nexus whatsoever.

Hey everyone.. First time here. I've been readinig for awhile and decided whats one more pissed off blogger? I wanted to share my experiences in Upstate New York, Syracuse area...

I work near a "non corporate" or "retail" store. I decided to walk over on lunch just to see what they had to say. A rep there said the same as all of you have been saying about the 9th release. BUT, he said they "recalled" it??? He said he had been in the buisness for 15 yrs and had never seen a phone get recalled "twice" and said that he was going to get it himself but since it has been "recalled" he wasn't going to. He also said "I wouldn't get that phone if I were you" He said it must have bugs and that its ridiculous that people are saying it was a 4g problem.

..... Soooooo now I don't know what to think. Has anyone heard the word "recalled" used yet? Does anyone have any solid info on the exact reason for the delay?

Haven't heard the word recall used at all. That's interesting but it sounds like he was a bit paranoid or hoping to sell you something else? No one has reported major bugs with it during any of the testing or any of our various sources or on the GSM. It just doesn't ring true to what I've been hearing.

Next weekend is it for me. I am buying another phone with VZW (purely a money saving move for our family) if next Thursday passes by w/ no release. Sadly the only company this hurts is Google and maybe Samsung. My selfish wish if this comes to pass is that VZW pulls the Nexus and ships it all back because then I will just wait for the $99 Nexus off contract and get it then. Samsung can't sell these phones to any other carrier in the world but they will want to offload them. I am starting to kick myself though for not picking up the Rezound when Amazon had it for $.01 (I am a new customer)

Awesome! It was bound to happen eventually today. Third parties have obviously not go great direction on the stop sale and are just going to ignore their system reluctance to allow them to get their commission.

If it was me I would of not included the driver license. Because it's a enhanced and has a chip in it. Very few states use them.

it's not deserving of ridicule. Imo i think its just surprising that it would show up there before here. I mean google's headquarters is in the us you would just think that we would have it ya know.

And correct me if i'm way off mark but south africa just doesn't strike me of a country that would be at the front lines of new technology... But that's just my opinion.
