Seems like a lot of people planning on going to the Hoboken store. Guess I should go before work and not at lunch then. They're an awesome store from what I've experienced and definitely will be getting my business unless someone sells it early.

Does any end user actually care about Google Wallet right now? Will significantly more actually care about it a year from now when the next Nexus is likely to drop??

I do. That was actually one of the reasons I was attracted to the next nexus phone when the S came out. I want it.

I care about it. I travel to NYC from NJ a few times a month and almost every place (even the ticketing machines) in Port Authority take Google Wallet. I definitely want it in my Nexus as it would require me not to take out my wallet, which would be awesome. I have my phone out of my pocket anyway most of the time so it would make it a lot easier to pay for my tickets and drinks from Duane Reade.

Obviously they should institute a secret release.

Go to the store say the passphrase "Polly has a pocket of tiddlywinks" to enable Galaxy Nexus sales.

Just think, people who specifically know can buy the phone. Others can wait for the commercial release. People who would go to these ends would obviously forgive any small hiccups before an official release.

Didn't work. I just went to my local store and said just like you said:

"Polly put a tinkle in her stinkerwinks"

I repeated it multiple times with enthusiasm. Nothing. They just looked at me like they needed security or something. I know, right?

So I'll just tell me experience..

Went into a Verizon retail store last night around 6ish.. Asked the guy what he knew and he came clean saying "yes, they planned tomorrow, but it got pushed back to the 15th." He claimed he got an email stating that the day was the 15th and it was official internal but could obvious be changed at any given moment.

I then asked for a demo, and low and behold the other tech had it in his pocket like it was nothing.. haha... so I played with it, and it definitely lives up to the hype. Did a speed test and it was rocking 30 Mbit download on 4G!! Amazing.. Can't wait another week. They broke my Nexus cherry.

Another Nexian Nerd was there and asked if I wanted to bum rush the stock room. I don't think it's worth going to jail for... is it??

Maybe I should send VZW an email asking them for the release date since I am part owner... I own quite a few shares of VZ. BTW, I'm up 17.33% on their stock!!!

Am I the only one questioning the validity of the 15th due to the lack of leaked pics? I mean, generally when a new date is given for this phone there's a pic of the email/document that contained the leak. Have I just missed it? I haven't seen anything except people reporting from their reps.

Sorry, I want this phone but I'm not willing to jeopardize someone's livelihood just to get it early. Just something WAY unethical about it... especially during the holiday season, they have bills to pay and maybe mouths to feed.

Copy the image and bring it into a Verizon I bet they would honor it . I find one thing about Verizon they usually will discount just about anything if you ask

Just called my local Radio Shack. This is the first person I have spoken to in this town that has acknowledged the existence of this device.

He just now received 2 GN and he put one on hold for me! He said he would call as soon as he heard from VZW or RS Corporate when he could sell it. I offered to pay him for the entire purchase and he laughed and said it wasn't necessary. They open 9a and I told him I would be there when they opened their doors on that day. He laughed again. That's as good as a pre-order to me.

Must be a metro area or at least a very regional thing. I've not seen any businesses around here using or talking about using it yet. Northeast TN.
