Not sure if this will catch any momentum, but I have a proposition on how to make sure verizon knows were upset about this launch.

Its likely none of you are just not going to buy the phone because of verizons delay, so lets hit them somewhere else.

At all phone launches they try to get you to bundle the phone with a bunch of accessories. (cases, extra batteries, screen protectors, stuffed animals to hold your phones) When they offer this to me, I will tell them I'm not going to get the accessories from them because of the launch delays. Although it might be true that I wasn't going to buy the accesories from them anyway, I still fell like this is the best way I can let them know I am upset about this launch.

Anyone else have ideas on how to voice their opinions? Anyone else going to do this? :D

Reactions: GalaxyNexus
I doubt the people making $10 an hour care if we aren't happy with the launch. Or if you buy accessories. They know - they've been answering the phones when we call and ask for info.
I agree that the Verizon employees won't care, but for ANY retailer that sells ANY product that requires accessories, accessories are where your profit margin is. The markup is huge, and a slight majority of the population prefers not to research and find the best accessory for them, they'd rather be told/suggested by "experts" ("would you like fries with that?"). So this idea would actually hurt Verizon and make the point, provided:

  1. That you could get everyone to do this (ie no convenience shoppers)
  2. That the employees actually communicate that the reason why no Galaxy Nexus accessories have been sold is public disgust at the delay.

1. is virtually impossible, and 2. is highly improbable.

Lastly, I don't think loss of sales of a single device will count in the long run.

So actually a pretty good idea ("hit 'em where it would ordinarily count"), but unlikely to succeed with this product.
