Should i buy LG esteem?

i currently have a shitty optimus m that restarts 20+ times a day and im sick of it. I love how the lg esteem looks and im really considering buying one but i just heard about the restarting problems just like the optimus m. Is that just lg failing? or is it just a batch of lemons? If i buy an esteem now what are the chances of it having restarting problems? Because some people say their esteem is perfect and some people say theirs restarts, etc. Please give your feedback, id really appreciate it.

No real problems with mine. Some tweaks you will need to do to get it to run smoothly. I recommend the phone. There is an update coming out to fix the issue of rebooting for the people that have that problem. I do not have that problem. My phone works great. Got mine when it first came out. LG Esteem Optimizer is a must have with this phone after you root it. I say go for it and get it. You will love it. Way better than the Optimus M I had that one before this one.

thanks for the feedback. Now the only issue on my mind is if wirefly.com is trustworthy. On theyre website the price is $250 with instant rebate. better than metros mail in rebate. I just hope the phone actually comes in and isnt used or messed up?

i got mine from letstalk.com cause they didnt charge me tax might wanna check them out there if you do order from them dont make the same mistake i did when i placed the order with my credit card the processing didnt go thru so i had to call them and give them an order number to complete my order whatever you do dont restart the purchasing process again or you will be getting charged every time you press the place order button

I ordered mine from Sam's Club,, $250 ($100 instant rebate), ordered it on Monday, had it in my hand Tuesday. I was jumping from a Droid to the Esteem and from Verizon to Metro, so far I am very happy.

+1.. Thats where I got mine for 249.. no issues.. and don't have the rebooting issue either.. think it maybe did it once.. and i'm guessing that since the update from LG should fix it, its just there programming.. once we have the option of ROM's should be smooth sailing..

If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend the Esteem. It's the best Metro has and it's a great phone overall.
But, for your Optimus, LG just released an update that I've heard finally fixes the reboot issues.

Just download the LG Mobile Update Utility and follow all instructions. hth

I used the original too and never have had a reboot problem. The link for the "updated" one is broken so no one can even download it and I dont have the file.

My replacement has been rebooting and I use the same method while the other one only rebooted twice in 2 months will go back to the store or I might just wait for the custom roms

The root i used was One Click Root Updated by final.zip I've had one reboot in about a month or so since i got it.. wasnt even using it.. my pocket just said hello hello hello lol.. I'm assuming thats the updated one? If so, its not causing all hell to break loose with reboots like for some.. Only nuisance i've had is the lag on the unlock when waking back up.. read somewhere that it can be caused by locking homescreen in memory.. got the day off so may play around some.. just throwing it out there..

Most cell phone compaines in the past like samsung made shitty phones and made money off metro not caring about the quality of the phone prime example galaxy indulge . Lg has figured the opposite make better quality phones and monopolize the market. Prime example the lg esteem is the best phone metro has ever presented in their life. Lg knows that therefore metro will have to end up begging lg to make more phones like the esteem
Or better so long for Samsung. Just lg and htc to Duke it out feel free to comment.
