So who's still on Board to pick up a Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus?

Wow......Its been a while and were all still talking about when the LTE GNex will actually hit shelves!

So many of us were excited for the GNex, formally the Prime. We were all in belief that by Thanks Giving we would be enjoying some Ice Cream Sandwiches after our Turkey. Well we all know how that turned out...what a let down on Verizon/Google's part.

Anyway....Here we are 2 weeks before Christmas and we still don't have a date set in stone, sorry guys...I choose not to believe rumors anymore, so the 15th to me is about as good as the 9th was...

Either way....I'm Curious as to who is left out of all my fellow forum peeps that are still holding out? Some have choose to go in other directions with the Droid Razr, the Rezound, and some have even went total AWOL, and turned to the Fruit and IOS.

I must admit, my desire to own the Nexus has diminished alot, the wait basically killed my joy towards owning this phone...I'm one of the people that gave into the Hype of the Razr...and for the most part... I'm pretty happy with my decision. But something about ICS still grabs me, and most likely I will pick one up retail and give it a whirl and put it through its paces. If I get blown away, I'll sell my Razr and keep the Nexus. If it fails to impress me I'll take the $35 hit and return it. Either way, I feel like the GNex and ICS at least deserves me to give it a try and see if all the Hype was worth this crazy wait.

So who's in? Who's still on the GNex ICS train?

I'm still on the train but I'm not nearly as excited as I was when I watched the announcement live. I stayed that excited until a few days after it released in Europe. Ever since then, my interest has slowly been dropping.
I'm slowly considering moving to AT&T or getting a white RAZR. I still have my OG Droid from two years ago and it sucks not being able to do normal things with the phone that everyone now takes for granted.
Still on the gnex train though for now!

I'm still on it. We are almost there and phones already hit the store shelves. It's just waiting on VZW's approval for sales.

It just has fallen victim of their marketing/politics play with Google. There is nothing wrong with phone itself. I think they knew it would kill their beloved Droid sales if released on schedule and just kept pushing it back as long as they could get away with.

I'm still in since I have no choice if I want free phone service. My company has switched from AT&T to Verizon so I need to get some sort of Verizon phone. Right now I still have my AT&T iPhone, but my company's service gets shut off January 1st.
I tried the RAZR and really didn't like it. I ran my normal battery procedure to get full life out of it with Android and it still didn't provide decent battery life with moderate usage. So really the GN is the only Verizon phone I really want. If they don't fix all this nonsense over Google Wallet by the first I'll have to go back to an iPhone.

Sean, you tried both razr and rezound right? What made you choose razr? Is battery life better than rz?

Release date has never had any bearing on whether or not I would buy the phone.

I have a Droid X. It still works perfectly well. An upgrade will be NICE to have, but I'm not DESPERATE for it.

A month or two ago the Razr, Rezound, and iPhones weren't potential candidates because they were't going to have everything I wanted. That is no different now. I'm not so anxious to have something NEW in my hand that I'm going to jump for a lesser product just because the best option (for me anyway) has been delayed.

I feel the same way. I really don't want to jump to a lesser product just to get something new. (Even though I really have so since my company is switching to Verizon. I'm not totally dismissing a lateral move to another iPhone, but I would much prefer to get something with LTE.

I dropped off, and switched to AT&T. Picked up a free Galaxy S II for me and my fiance and we haven't looked back. My contract expired and finally wanted to get off my family plan and only had a limited window.

I still tell all my verizon friends about this phone and definitely want to play around with it.

Coming from a og droid to the S II is insane. If the Nexus is anything like the S II you guys will absolutely love it. Soooo much better then my og droid w/ 2.3.5

I wish Verizon had the S II out already because I would seriously consider it along with the GN.

i'm still on board. I have a ReZound boxed up ready to go back in exchange whenever the G Nex drops.

Sean i agree i give no credit at all to rumored dates anymore. Or any rumors for that matter. I'm pretty much dismissing any and all info i hear unless it comes from VZW. I personally don't fully believe Google wallet was to blame. I really have no idea and we'll all probably never know the full story.

two years from now i hope some google exec rights a book titled " G Nex Gate" ....i will read it.

Still on the fence about the Nexus. I have the Rezound and it's a great device. Really need to get a hands on with the Nexus before I decide. Not buying into the hype until then. But. one way or another, it's either the Rezound or the Nexus.

I've also decided I am going to cancel my upgrade and pay full price for one or the other. Not wanting to commit to a 2 year contract anymore. Not after a few issues I've had with verizon in the past few days.

I doubt the reason for the delay has anything to do will selling other devices. Verizon ultimately doesn't care what device you buy. They are more interested in getting you under contract. Even so,the Galaxy Nexus has little to no chance of outselling the Droid branded devices. The average consumer doesn't know what a Galaxy Nexus is and unless Verizon or Samsung or Google go on a marketing blitz they will continue to not know.
