Cloud+ Smartphones ??

I have cloud storage on my Samsung, any phone can have cloud. Windows have Skydrive, iOS have iCloud, Android can choose from a variety of third party cloud services (which iOS has access to as well) like DropBox or Sugarsync or Minus.

Basically cloud is an online storage space which you can access from any device as long as you have the password to an account. For example, if I put a file into one of my designated sugarsync folders on my phone, it will automatically appear in the corresponding folder in my PC without the need for downloads or uploads or whatever.

Every file/app that you have stored in the "cloud" will be accessible via your phone via its internet connection. If this will be helpful for you, then that is how it will help.

However given the security breaches to Google servers from locations in China, "I'd" be wary of storing my sensitive files in a "Chinese cloud"...or any cloud for that matter.

Thing is many individuals, businesses and other organisations have to store confidential data about their clients. But with various data protection laws, e.g. The Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK. Seems to me with foreign governments(Chinese, US, etc.) and other "agents" having access to it. Cloud storage of this confidential data is not good, and may lead to all kinds of liabilities and problems.
