Well my Inc completely crapped out on me. Tried to get it going again for the past 3 days. I fixed it for good under my 10lb sledge hammer. Now I don't need to worry about it anymore... So I am off tomorrow to get me a Rezound. I have read a lot of good things on here so I hope I like it. I am not sure about the 4.3" sceen, but I don't really want an iPhone4s and there isn't any other option except to buy a used Inc. Haven't been able to find one for a good cheap price.

4.3" screen was easy to adapt to from my OG's 3.7" and I hope you like the Rezound as much as I do.

BTW, guess the Inc didn't have Gorilla Glass, eh?

You do realize you may have been able to sell the phone for parts, either on ebay or to a shop that services phones. When I needed to repair a phone awhile ago (Moto flip) I had an old Razr2 flip that would only show a blue screen on boot up. They gave me $50 for it towards my repair costs. Outright you could've gotten maybe $30-$40 through a shop, and possibly $70+ on ebay (if the digitizer was working). If nothing else you could've used that for accessories.

Well they say you learn something new every day. Nope had no idea... Oh well, will now know next time.

That was just 3.5 days of frustration. Felt good...;) I tell you what though, I learned a whole lot about ADB Shell and parted... So it wasn't for nothing.

I'm sorry about your Inc. Nothing lasts forever.. right? Many of us here came from the Inc to the Rezound. Haven't heard any complaints. The migration was easy. It's like an Inc on steroids. You are going to be happy.

This is just my initial impressions so take it for what it's worth. I remember getting the Inc and using it the first 24 hours. I can pretty much say within that period of time how I am going to like something. The Inc was an excellent experience. Given that for me, the Rezound is the complete opposite. It is pretty snappy and does have a very nice screen. However the rest of my experience is not good enough for me to keep this thing. I will not get used to the 4.3" screen..(Biggest Issue) If smartphones are headed in this direction, I don't know what I am going to do. Given the fact that I found myself just using it the way I used my Inc, (which is expected) I don't really notice a big difference from my Inc. I had to reboot this device 2x in less than 5 hours because after sitting for a period of time it lost connection to my Wi-Fi and would not reconnect. Reboot was the only thing that would fix it. If using it for any length of time it started to get very warm. I know there are a lot of different options on the battery and how long is good and what not, but after a full change by noon and then playing around with it, I was down to 20% after an afternoon. I have a cabin up north and go to a lot of places where my phone is searching for signals; I think this phone would die very quickly. I will not by an extended battery and make the phone even bigger. Like I said, the size for ME is already an issue. Again.. just my opinion just trying to be honest. At this point with what is out there, I either stay with the Inc, which is what I am going back to, get an iPhone4s, or go back to a normal basic phone. I hope these phone companies start to make some phones that are a bit smaller like the Inc... :(

I was truly hoping going into this upgrade that I would be able to get used to the size and be happy about it. Can't do it..4.3" is just not for everybody I guess.

Ok I love this phone except for a few things

Battery life: it been really horrible lately and charges really slow also dies at 10% don't know why though

High pitch screaching with headphones

Battery cover is kind of creeky

The phone gets super hot almost to hot to hold for too long

The capacitive buttons light leeks onto the edges of the phone and slightly on the screen

WiFi disconnects or doesn't work right after a couple hours

Other than that this is a great phone

My review on the Rezound:

It's all good. Not one bad thing to say about it. I can't even find one thing to nit-pick. The only problem I have right now is this. The Nexus. In the back of my mind I am thinking I need to check out this device.

I have already had it in my hands its beautiful my man I am glad I am waiting I can say that

I think you must have a battery issue or a never-ending program in the background. My battery only seems to get stronger. And heat is not an issue.

this is my batterry right now the battery went down 30% in 20 minutes of medium usage do you think i should take it back and get a different rezound

Mobile Photobucket

I certainly would. I ran mine on 4g most of the day today with a reasonable amount of texting, a couple calls, emails, and was in the road a bit. I'm stil at 28%, and it was charged yesterday. Once in a while I note a larger drop, but battery is pretty amazing.

After a week of ownership I think I can give a
n adequate review, however I haven't messed with the camera at all. So I'll skip that.

Coming from a droid x, I haven't seen anything to tempt me away from it until the razr. Once I found out that I'd keep my unlimited data and I could get a ne2 pricing I started researching. Boiled down to the rezound or razr. The major deal breakers with the razr was how awkward it felt in hand and no removable battery. The x is also awkward and I've dropped it more than any phone I've ever owned. So I fondled the rezound, like the heft and way it sits in hand. Also really like how it looks. Always thought the incredible was a great looking phone and this has obvious detail cues from the incredible. Reviews have been good so I bought it.

First impression, this is a sleek, aesthetically appealing phone. It doesn't look childish, trendy but with the red details it's like understated cool.

The screen is beautiful, it isn't as vibrant as the razr or as bright but it is very clear and just a pleasure to view. The touch function is accurate and responsive. The utter lack of hard keys is a big plus for me. Although the two stage camera button was a useful on the dx, I don't miss it. I carry my phones in a pocket and buttons tend to get pushed when you don't want them to be, so I'll trade the minor inconvenience of the power button over the big inconvenience of a dead battery or pocket calls/photos etc.

Sense. I like it. I've tweaked it a bit but really love how it looks and feels. Much more streamlined than my pseudo sense created on my dx with fancy widgets and launcher pro and leagues better than motoblur.

Calls both on blue ant blue tooth and regular have been great. I don't like using speaker phone so I haven't tried it. It's been quite awhile since I've had a phone that had poor call quality though.

Signal. The antenna doesn't seem as good as the dx, it's about a bar less on average but the dx has a great antenna. I get screaming 4g speeds in my area. 27.97 mbps dl and 12.67 up is my best score to date using speed test. My dsl gets 4-5 mbps and that's premium dsl.

Battery. Although I know battery tech is falling behind gizmo tech it's still a bit dissapointing. My dx under the same stresses rarely needed a bump charge during my 12 hour work shift. The rezound can lose 40% just streaming netflix on my lunch. It's a hassle but pretty much par for the course with most high end smart phones. I suspect it would make it a full morning to night if used only as a phone and not a portable lap top.

The keyboard is very nice. I love the trace option. Works like a regular keyboard that you can also swype on. I have experienced some keyboard lag. Nothing like the dx though. I also like the word prediction and the way it handles purposely misspelled words and names better than the dx.

Beats. Well I have to admit modern music sounds great. Amazing the bass those tiny ear buds produce. It's obviously bass oriented but not muddy. Highs are crisp, mids are clear but toned down. I would like to have alternative eq settings. Music was mastered much differently in the pre mp3 age. Overall it's nice, add the "free headphones" and it's a pretty good deal.

Highlights, display, form factor and blazing smooth speed both the phone itself and the LTE network.

The lows, battery life and this phone gets pretty warm.

I'm happy with the purchase and thus far the Rezound has been flawless. I wasn't sure the Rezound would "feel" like an upgrade other than the LTE speeds but it feels like a full upgrade. Almost as much as going from the enV touch to the dx. Great phone.

Somethings to consider on the battery life, how is the signal at work when you're streaming Netflix? if it's not the greatest that can contribute to poor battery life. Also, were you streaming NF on LTE? I don't have LTE in my area, but from all that I have heard it's a bigger battery draw than 3G or wi-fi, so that maybe a big part of it. Just using Youtube on my phone the other day on 3G, I watched around 15 minutes of videos and lost around 6-7% of battery. I was in a good signal area, so that helped.

From what I've heard, the biggest contributers to poor battery life on these phones (1st & 2nd 4G LTE phones) is the screen (4" and above), poor or erratic signal, using LTE vs. 3G or wi-fi, or poorly coded apps that prevent the phone from sleeping.

Something else that may be a factor is it sometimes takes awhile for the battery to get it's legs. After so many charges and discharges, it will finally reach it's full potential. So that may be coming up for you as well. Hope it works out for ya.

My signal is great, especially at work where I rely on it the most. Was using 4g and have been experimenting with running 3g when I don't need 4g.

Your absolutely correct about the battery. The first couple of days are always bad. I've also calibrated the battery by charging to full, turn on then off and recharge to full, repeat 3 to 4 times.

Just played with the ReZound and the Nexus, and I have to say, despite the richer colors on the Nexus (watched Thor HD trailer on both), I prefer the ReZound. I was getting WAY faster speeds on 4G in the store (tried 4 different servers), seemed snappier, and fit PERFECTLY in my hands. The Nexus seemed DAMN big. The cameras were about the same, but flesh tones were a bit more on point with the ReZound.

I also wasn't a huge fan of the on screen buttons on the Nexus. Only advantage being with Youtube and video watching.

Now if only the ReZound would come down in price.

My phone arrived! Unfortunately it was only a couple hours before I had to drive to my Mom's for Christmas so I haven't had much time to play. The worst news, my Mom doesn't live in a 4G area so now that I have time, it won't be ridiculously fast.

Still, in the small amount of time, I've had it, I love it. It's not too big, it's ridiculously fast and the screen is AMAZING! First thing I did was watch a HD Youtube video. Everyone at work was impressed. The speaker is also top notch.

Yeah, I like that they seem to have the basics nailed down pretty well- Good phone reception, good 3G performance and reception, good in 4G, switches between them adroitly... Nice to hear you're happy with it!

I always somehow manage to have a new phone around the holidays - it is so GREAT to have the time to play with it !!

The screen is simply amazing - dual core and 1 Gb of RAM make for fast smooth responses - I rarely if ever notice any lag - the Beats sound is unexpectedly very very good - and HTC's build quality is as usual the best - the phone feels really good in your hand - the 1620 battery does surprisingly well with a few tweeks - Denver has great 4 G coverage so my phone is screaming scary fast .......the radio is outstanding at holding a connection - and the phone quality is very good

This is without question the best smartphone I have ever owned - gonna be the sleeper of all the new 4 G models. I hope you are as Rezounded as I obviously am. Have a wonderful holiday and enjoy your new toy :) !!
