So guys and gals, will Costco have the Nexus on Thursday (assuming that date holds)? I would love to get it for $289 with the bundle, but I need to know:

a. will they have it Thursday or would I have to wait?
b. will they honor both my NE2 promo price ($299 at the store or whatever) AND my $50 discount (e.g. Razr/Rezound show as $249 on vzw.com)?

Is that additional $50 discount ONLY for online? Or would I get it in the VZW corporate store if I wind up going to the VZW store and not Costco. Thanks in advance!

Well, as long as we're talking about naming our phones... mine will be called Ginny :)

Anyone else naming their Nexus?

Embarrassingly, yes. I like to have a unique name for the Bluetooth device ID, etc. My Nexus will be called Quorra after the Tron: Legacy character. Like the Nexus, Quorra was a software entity, and both wear a lot of blue...

I am a sad, strange little man.

In other news, a helpful Radio Shack rep brought out a dummy Nexus for me to try today. Any concerns about the size, thichkness and materials are erased from my mind. I was especially pleasantly surprised by the grippy material on the back. Very nice!

Strange - maybe (but it seems we all have a bit of strange to us here) , sad - doubtful.

3g to 4g $100 mail in rebate code "CH4GE" is valid (for those skeptical like myself), and expires December 31st. I had the CSR note it on my account, and it can be redeemed either through *611 telesales, or in a Verizon Corporate Store.

I called *611 and asked them about the "Midwest regional 3g to 4g $100 off rebate", they knew nothing. Gave him the code and he instantly found it, gave me the details, and was on my way.

Also, I had 2 CSRs CONFIRM that the device was planned and supposed to launch Friday the 9th, but due to the outage, it was pushed back. They wouldn't say when it was supposed to launch, but my local store said the 15th.

To summarize it all up: Call *611, press 0, say "upgrade", then ask about the "Midwest regional 3g to 4g upgrade promo for $100 off rebate." They will search, most likely not find anything, then give them the code "CH4GE". They will find it, and tell you it must be applied when you purchase the device, but you can have them note your account with the code.

Just like that, the Nexus becomes even better :)

I just called and it went exactly the same way. They also said it was eligible on all my lines that are due for an upgrade. So now I am saving $200 on phones for me and my wife. I'm in Ohio.

I don't get why everyone hates it so much when the Title is changed. Who cares this forum is all speculation that is the current accepted date. If you don't believe it that's fine and you are entitled to your opinion. But if Steven58 wants to change it let him it doesn't hurt.

EXACTLY why it should NOT have a date or day in the title unless it is from a VZW press release. It is all speculation, careless, reckless reporting of speculation.

after reading from one member last night that a csr he spoke to on the phone told him TN was eligible for the $100 rebate on a 4g phone, i sent vzw an email trying to see if i could get the coupon added to my account in the notes or otherwise. i received an email back not only stating that i was not eligible for any coupons, but that my number all together was not eligible for an upgrade although on vzw's site it clearly says i have been eligible since september. at this point i called *611 just to make sure that i wasnt going to have any trouble getting an upgrade and i wasnt misunderstanding my eligibility from their site, and the very nice girl i was speaking with(angelica) told me that the email was not true and in fact 3 of my lines were eligible for an upgrade, with a 4th line having the early upgrade for a fee option(we have 5 lines). after i got that squared away, i then asked about getting the discount i had originally emailed about. after about 15 minutes of "let me look at this and let me ask someone else", she finally came back on the phone and said that i was indeed eligible for the extra $100 coupon, and that it was now noted on my account and i would have no trouble redeeming it when i purchase a new phone :D BIG SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE SPREADING THE REBATE! i hope others can cash in on the deal, its at least worth a shot because my state(TN) is not considered a midwest state but they added the coupon anyway. good luck

<---- It was this guy! Glad it worked out for ya!

So...another question for those more familiar with Verizon's practices than I am...

My husband has a $30 off thingy on his line (loyalty discount?)

Can I use it on the Nexus when I add a line? He's never gonna pay more than $0 for a phone anyway, and I assume he can't get that $30 as an account credit or something.

I believe you have to use his upgrade to get that discount. They will let you use another lines upgrade on the same account for any phone.

I got the High Gloss Black off Amazon last week. Nice quality, I have owned a few of there cases for other phones.

I just received my pink glitter flex tpu case today from Diztronits, and I LOVE IT... It's a very pale pink with silver glitter...it gives me a great idea how the GNex will feel and it's perfect..now if I could only fill it with the phone!
