So I currently have an OG Droid and hope to get the Galaxy Nexus to replace it in the coming days (hopefully). What happens to the OG Droid once when I activate the Galaxy Nexus on my line? Will the OG still turn on and would I still be able to run apps on it? Would I still be able to use the internet on it (through Wi-Fi)?

Yes, yes, and yes. The only thing that will change is you won't be able to make calls or text and all data will have to be used on Wifi now.

I spoke to a Samsung rep not a Verizon rep.

Oh sorry, I should pay better attention! Maybe...she is still hoping it will somehow get Verizon sued b/c of how badly they've been treating Samsung this whole year (the Charge and then the Stratosphere....really? Where the SGSII? Where's the Nexus?)

Anyone ever think maybe they turned down the GSII because the Fascinate didn't do too great? Like it was Samsung's fault and not Verizon's for messing it up too much? (BING)

Yes, you won't be able to place calls, send messages, or do anything else Verizon-specific but it can be used as a PMP.

Might be a stupid question but would anyone care to explain what exactly a testman page is?

Not a stupid question. Testman is the test page for Verizon before going live on their actual website. Or it was the site. I think they keep it there to torture us because nothing has been leaked off it since the Incredible days.

Gonna use the extra money for accessories.

Oh what are you getting? :)

And just to add a follow up question: This way of activating the new phone will grandfather in our unlimited data plan? <assuming you had unlimited to begin with>

That is correct. No change to your plan or features will occur. :)
