I'm currently running miui 1.11.4 rom and I'm trying to go into recovery mode but the phone won't let me. When I go into the boot loader menu & I select the option to go into recovery it goes to the white htc screen then takes me back to the boot loader menu. Can someone help me with trying to get back into recovery mode? My clockworkmod is updated to 5.0.2.0. It will not work using rom manager.

This is an old thread, but I have this same problem. The solution from sdrawkcab25 does not work for me, and my Incredible just hangs.

I posted my logcat dump while trying to boot into recovery. It can be found here here

Any info would be great, thank you.

My phone runs. Currently I'm using CM 7.0.3. Everything works fine except for superuser apps. I believe this could be an issued with the recent SU 3.0 update, which I cannot fix. Hence the attempts to reflash.

My phone will boot into hboot, and it states s-off, but I cannot get into recovery, or even factory reset. The only option that does not hang my phone from HBOOT is "fast boot".

Thank you for replying.

You have two options then, if you can get ROM manager to work, use that to flash clockwork a bunch of times( check the option in settings to erase recovery before flashing).

Next option would be to download a copy of clockwork, rename the file to PB31IMG.zip and flash in hboot.

Ok, so I was able to flash a copy of CWM onto my phone. Now my phone will boot into Clockwork mod recovery. However, now the problem is that every option in Clockwork mod leaves the program hanging. No commands are executed, and the screen just shows the CWM icon.

Any ideas?

Press the trackball to execute commands, not the power button.
