Bionic stolen

So my wife and I went to the Philadelphia Flyers game on Saturday night and she noticed her Bionic wasn't in her pocket, so after remotely downloading Plan B using my phone and installing it on hers, it said the phone was close to our home(which is not close to the staduim). After the game we went right home and found it was not there, either. So I sent another text and it said it was back up in Philadelphia again. After going back up to Philly, we send another text for its location and it then said it was about 15 miles northeast of Philly (we live 10 miles southwest of Philly).

Sorry for the long story, but I have two points to this post. The first is that I will post the ESN number later in case anyone is going to buy a used one and finds someone selling ours. Second is that the Plan B program didn't work very well. My biggest problem is that the program seems to work on a delay, because it gave us the wrong location initially.

Sorry for the rant/long post, but I hope no one else has to have their crap taken.

Be sure to report the phone stolen to Verizon then it cannot be activated on another account. Probably wont get it back but the last thing I would want is someone being able to use it. I hate lame people that steal.

That sucks big time. I'm sorry that happened to you. I've found 6 phones in my lifetime and all of them I returned. People suck sometimes.

I reported it stolen to Verizon that night and they put it on their lost/stolen list, so hopefully that prevents someone from using it again.

The thing that sucks though, is that it's gonna be some unsuspecting person who buys the phone from this thief who gets screwed, too. The thief ends up screwing over two people.

I was talking to this guy and he was telling me that the ESN really doesn't matter because this phone is a 4G phone, so all one would have to do would be replace the SIM card and they would be able to use the phone, regardless of whether it was on the lost/stolen list or not; can anyone confirm or deny this?

I assume you went to the Verizon Wireless store in person and reported the theft. They immediately deactivated the phone and explained you no longer had a problem from bogus charges. Correct?

You have to assume you will never see it again.

I didn't go to a store because it was 11:30 at night, but I did talk to Verizon customer support who put the phone on the list.

I know I will never see the phone, but was just curious about what the guy I was talking to told me about how one could still use a 4G phone even if it is on the VZW lost/stolen list, merely by replacing the SIM card.

I assume you don't have Lookout or Where's My Droid? With both of those you can track exactly where the phone is

I assume you don't have Lookout or Where's My Droid? With both of those you can track exactly where the phone is

Plan B accomplishes the same as those two.
