WTB Smartphone for Dad

Hey guys, as the title says, I want to buy a smartphone for my Dad who's on T-mob. He's not a power user by any means, and this will be his first smartphone. Since he doesn't currently have a data plan, AT&T band phones will work as well, but I would prefer a T-mobile one so he can add on a data plan later if he wants to.

My budget is $250 max, post your offers here or PM it to me. Phones that are supported by CM7 or will be supported by CM9 are preferred.

I wish...look at the samsung galaxy Y its the cheapest. it will cost around $160 (new)

oh...and I forgot to mention that if you want cm7 or 9 just root the phone.

android phones are nice, you could get him a simple nice smartphone, not too fancy, not too sucky. i can recommend some of the HTCs, (ones avaliable for t-mobile) maybe a mytouch 4g or if he were to go on at&t an iphone 4, with $275, the skys the limit. check
