***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I'm in Dallas and I've heard the same thing --- Since last Thursday. Guy said it was delayed a week. They said they got an email that day. They said it was internally official but could change. They even let me play with the phone, so I have this feeling they really didn't give a #$@$ what upper management said to say.. (which was.. AMAZING!! 30 Mbit/Sec speedtest on LTE)

I'm starting to think that the reports of people saying the phone isn't coming out Thursday are living in the sticks and their stores just won't have stock on day 1.

I swear, if this phone isn't out by Saturday, I don't care if it lays golden eggs, I'm gonna buy the accessories for my Rezound and be done with this. I, as are a bunch of you, am starting to feel like this:

If it isn't released Thursday morning and all we are seeing and hearing is "another delay" then im ordering the GSM version from Newegg or a Bell 32gb version from Canada and calling it a day. Get 20% off ATT bill with speeds up to 21mbps on HSPA+ (I hardly use LTE anyway).. Overnight it and be rocking my new GNex by Friday after work.. Cant wait either way.

Im going to buy a new white iPhone 4s to offset the cost of the gnex. I should make about 400 off it so I consider the whole ordeal a wash.

To share my story, last night I called the Verizon Corporate store on L Street in downtown DC.

The conversation:

Me: Hey, wanted to schedule an appointment for Thursday morning.
CSR: Okay, what are you interested in?
Me: I want to pick up the Galaxy Nexus.
CSR: Okay, what's your name and phone number?
Me: It's _____ and _____.
CSR: Great! When you come in you have an appointment with CSR X.
Me: Thanks!

Sure, they didn't say it would be out, but considering a corporate store scheduled an appointment when I specifically said I wanted to the get the Galaxy Nexus, well, I consider that a good sign that they had gotten word of 12/15 release.

I'm going to try calling again tonight to double-check my appointment and see if they have anything to say officially.

If they say "Sure, no problem", then we'll know it's just a ploy to sell the RAZR.

I talked to a Verizon rep last night (called *611) and he found the promo deal we are talking about "3g to 4g" promo $100 off. Stated it was only for the Chicago land area and that it would not apply to me (I live in Denver). I have the strong feeling that anyone who got it "noted" on their account will not be getting it. If you read the promo's wording, they are linked to a phone number. Doubt they will be just handing out a $100 credit to a brand new in demand phone, but I could be wrong.

Thats what I'm a screaming. In the mean time I see no pics or screen shots eh?

I may do the same, except I'd have to sell my iPhone to cover both part of the cost of the Nexus AND my ETF fee. Could be worth it, though.

My dude, I would love to bring up a screenshot but I have no idea how to view a note on an account. Tell me how to do it and I'll see what it says. All I can go by atm is what the CSR told me earlier this morning and if they were wrong I will cause a fuss because theres a recorded convo from earlier this morning that has a Rep stating I can use this promo. IF thats not good enough for them then there will be a major problem. End of story.
