(A bit of a Hero Noob here) I have two questions I am curious about...

I did search for these, so I apologize if the answer is somewhere among the hundreds of pages of posts, but I promise I did try :D

1. What is the importance of Awake time? Mine is relatively low throughout the day, usually at about 10-15% when I pull it off the charger in the morning, and about 20-30% throughout the day with my steady use. Is this normal?

2. Is there ANY list of bad apps that are known to be buggy on the market? Or are the majority of the apps on the market good ones?

thanks for your help!

1) Your phone needs to sleep for the battery to last. Your awake times seem OK.

2) I don't know of a list for buggy apps. There is a list for "Hogs" that drain your battery.

As I understand it (and I could be wrong so wait for a second opinion) awake time is how much time your phone spends awake and doing stuff versus sleeping. The longer your phone is awake the more battery life you're using. I think the only times it really becomes a problem is when your awake time is stuck at 100% so obviously lower percentages are better.

I dont know about a bad app *list*. I never download anything to my phone that doesnt have at least 4 stars in the market and I always make sure to read the reviews. People either praise or complain in those reviews. If I read about a lot of force closes or that it wont run I wont install it.

20% awake time is fine. Especially if you're getting a full day out of your battery.

I don't know of a bad app list, but if you read the reviews you'll be able to figure out which ones are good and which ones aren't. I haven't seen many apps that are really buggy, and some people give bad reviews just because of ads. Just read the reviews to get a sense of an apps quality.

The dude at HTC told me that TasKiller ("the red one") was the source of a lot of problems for them, and that they recommended using Advanced Task Killer (the green one). That was a while back and I have no idea if it's still problematic, but I've stayed away from it.
