Can Anybody with an 8.9 Confirm that GSM Voice Calls ARE Supported

I know that the 8.9 can do Google Talk/Skype etc. etc., but can somebody with one actually confirm that standard GSM calls can be both made and received using one.

Could do with a new handset before NY, and the 7.7 doesn't look like it's going to be available, so I might consider the 8.9 before settling for the 5.3 Note.

Nope, Calls wont go through, no option as well for outgoing call. ( Hope there will be an Application that will cater the call function of 8.9)

Too late, I already settled for a Note, as Samsung still haven't released a release date even for the 7.7 in Europe.

Won't be in the market for a new gander for at least a year, when hopefully the 7.7 wheel get a better camera and be 'perfect'
