[International / GSM] LTE/GSM harmony?

Will LTE mods work with GSM phones and vice versa?

Will all Roms be compatible with all Gnex's? Or LTE specific/GSM specific roms?

Guessing kernels will be GSM/LTE specific, but themes/roms/mods I'm hoping can work on all Gnexes without having to change anything major.

I really want to know if anyone knows any good mods currently for the Gnex?

Brightness mod, Button mods, anything good you guys know of?

What about unlocking the bootloader with a mac, this is possible right? I read the guide, it said it was, just double checking.

Tomorrow: -Pick up Gnex, Unlock bootloader, Root, install mods/roms.

Can anyone answer my questions? Thanks.

to be honest with you there is still a lot of unknown. I don't expect a lot of stuff that will work on both devices. Just because of an article i read yesterday that suggests the GSM version may always be on diff OS versions than the LTE version. So its hard to say right now.

however my agenda for tomorrow is buy device/root/unlock and enjoy.

i am on a mac as well. I set my Mac up last night to do the deed.

Is there a mac rooting guide that'll work for the lte version? I can't seem to find anything here or xda.

The kernels are identical, so I've read on XDA. It's capable of detecting the correct model.

That's nice, for sure.

I'm thinking ROMs won't be compatible though. I had a hell of a time trying to get a 4.1 dump running on my GSM model :-/

Fab your amazing. Was it the DX? You really were a star making stuff for the droid x. Hope you can make some stuff for the Gnex!

I'm thinking that if the ROMs aren't compatible then we need a separate forum here and on XDA so that people won't flash the wrong things and melt their phones.

I've thought about asking about splitting the devices. I'll ask the higher ups and see what they say.

thanks for chiming in Fab. Do you plan on getting an LTE model to Dev on as well? I don't blame you if you don't. That is a lot of money to shell out if your daily driver is on TMO.
