If I buy through Costco:

1. Anyone know what the Bonus Pack will include on this phone?
2. Will I retain my corporate discount?
3. Will I still be eligible for an upgrade after 20 months?

I was actually at costco when the news broke. The rep there told me the bundle would include a

• leather case
• screen protector
• car charger
• wall charger
• headphones

Seemed like a nice guy - said I've got one with my name on it tomorrow.

Well with just getting the house, filling up the oil and Christmas so close I will not be getting the Nexus tomorrow.

I just can't justify spending $700 on.myself right now. I guess it will be a month or so Have fun with your toys! I am happy and strangely sad that its done

For some reason there is no point for usb charging and audio in at the base of the vehicle mount. I'm going to buy it but it's best to call it in over telesales. Price I've been quoted for the official mount from Verizon telesales is $24.98. The otter box is $34.98, $11.24 for screen protectors. All the accessories are 20-35% off if ordered from telesales. I've got the personal number of one of the CSR so I'll check back in on this again. I'll find out the price of the Incipio Double Case tomorrow morning when I order the phone tomorrow morning.

Happy Nexus Eve everyone!

I'd like your opinions on my situation. I will be purchasing two Galaxy Nexus's on my family plan. I have one $50 loyalty discount. I called my local verizon and told them "listen, the phones are each ten bucks off at costco and they give us a bag of accessories. I'm buying two 300 dollar phones with two two year contracts and two new data lines, what can you do for us" and the CSR said she could be flexible with the accessories.

How far can Verizon go with this freedom? I have no idea where to start my bargaining. Should I go in guns a blazing asking for two free car mounts? Even more? Should I just expect discounts? (which I do have - 25% off as per NJ state employee discount program)

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

While I was a little late to the party here as to posting, I still want to thank the moderators for handling this whole ordeal very well. I hope that everyone that scores a GN is as happy with it as they hope to be.

I will be picking mine up first thing tomorrow. I have to admit to a certain resentment to the way Verizon handled this whole affair. Very poor marketing and even worse communication with its customer base.

That said, I can take away from all of that the fact that we have had time to find out even before purchase of some of the device's shortcomings. Again that isn't bad as we have a better idea of what both to expect and not to expect.

Sadly I had 3 days off, seen my boss tonight and asked if anyone wanted to pick up some hours. No one wanted them. Oh well, perhaps I can get an order in online tonight before the VZW server crashes or perhaps snag one in the morning before work

Verizon said the "Galaxy Nexus is available starting today"... does that mean technically stores were given the go-ahead to sell in the few hours before closing after the announcement today?

Also, when will this mega-thread close down once and for all? I'd like to know when I should post my farewell.

I joined this thread and AF in October after lurking for a couple of weeks, eager for info on the Prime. Rode through the "Something Big" teaser and eventual announcement of the SGN after the initial delay.

I must say that I did not think I'd stick around after the phone was announced since I am in Australia and much of what happened thereafter was verizon-related. However, I found that, despite this, I could not leave. Why? Because I felt that this was such an awesome group of people to be amongst and really appreciated the "family" feeling, where people of all ages' opinions were respected and everyone was so helpful to people of all android-experience levels. Not to mention the endless wonderful banter and the light-heartedness regarding off topic posts, which, to me, were just as important and interesting as the 'relevant' stuff.

So I want to thank EVERYONE who has been a part of this thread for making it such a cool place to hang out. I will see all you gals and guys around AF.

Well, it looks like it is that time to write my final post in this epic thread

I really felt close to a lot of you all. I enjoyed the time that we got to share and the laughs we had. Ive been involved with forums for the past 7 years or so. Ive been on tech forums, car forums, game forums, computer forums and phone forums. I have never met such a great bunch of guys and gals.

The mod team of this thread was terrific and ill be back on this forum more then i have ever been. You mods were on the ball faster ive ever seen, didnt tolerate crap and no matter how much I wanted to let the F word fly about this time last week, i didnt..... so my name wouldnt go black lol

The 'Senior' Members were alot of fun as well. BabyBlues, Steven58, Hansolo, OTD, The_Chief...... Im sure there are more to mention that I forgot.... But thank you all. I also wanted to thank all those who gave me and my wife best wishes on our upcoming baby I wanted to name her (im hoping for a girl) Nexi, but my wife didnt want too... so now my phone is named Nexi

The press release was technically not released but only giving to the blogs. Verizon should post it first thing tomorrow morning!
