Let the record show as this thing closes down that teddyearp called it a month ago...if you sift thru the data, the truth about the delay was there all along. See yall on the flip side...

Meh, everyone who was saying "You won't see it before the 15th" was just guessing. P3, Pyde, teddy, everyone. Just a good guesstimate that happened to become true. Remember, it was confirmed, at least internally, that the 9th was the day. Everything was set, it was in the internal system. VERY last minute bugs, either on the phone, or with the network, or both, caused a week delay. Nobody could have possibly predicted that.

But you know what, all of that is moot. Who cares. Phone's out tomorrow. :):):D:D:cool:

Well, I guess it is that time. Everyone else is sending out their well wishes so I better do the same. After all, in just a few hours I'll probably be so occupied between work and my shiny new phone, that I wont be able to give you all a proper thank you. So THANK YOU! and CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!

This really has been the most friendly, informative and overall good-times thread I have ever been a part of. Even at those times when we all were at our lowest, we enjoyed ourselves. And with the help of our fantastic Mods and Guides we showed how even in the most tense of times in forums likes these, the interwebs can be a genuine place to gather in a community that respects each other in a responsible way.

I really do hope to see many of you floating around the other SGN threads. If you really think about it, though this part of the journey is over, we're really only getting started ;)

Again best wishes, happy holidays, and thank you for this very new and very fond memory.

Sincerely,
Tyler

I feel quite fortunate for a couple of things...

First, I GET MY NEXUS TOMORROW!!!

Second, I'm glad to have been a very small part of a very big thing.

It's been great hanging with you all. Thanks to the Mods for keeping things right. Thanks to the great personalities on here; I won't name any for fear of making anyone feel left out when everyone played their part.

See you on G+ (https://plus.google.com/106633234539816116792/) and the other threads as we take the next path in this wonderful Nexus journey.

Best of luck to you all. Happy Nexus to you!

I don't really agree that the Razr felt clunky so much as it is just too wide. I have small hands and it just doesn't fit comfortably. The Nexus is longer which is fine as I am not likely to be holding it from end to end ever. I was originally a bit concerned about the lack of an external sd card slot on the Gnex but then it was announced to be a 32GB device and that decided me. I really do not want a phone with a sealed battery so goodbye Razr.
I agree wholeheartedly about the Rezound feeling clunky. Also the Rezound is ugly Goodbye Rezound.

Hopefully I'll still see many of you in other threads once this one finally shuffles off this mortal coil.
You're welcome to join us in the Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole thread in The Lounge, and in the Android Forums IRC channel as well!

Confirmed 50% off. Just bought in store for $25. Price had to be adjusted manually. They said that the sale was not common. Just word to the wise.
Awesome. Will make sure to bring it up tomorrow. :D

So I have a question...

I will be in a big rush tomorrow because the store near me opens at 9am and I have work at 10am. So if I purchase the phone in the store but don't have them activate it, then how do I go about activating it? And is there any reason I SHOULD let them activate it instead of doing it myself?

Thanks!
They won't let you leave the store with a subsidized phone without activating it.

This isn’t my last post because I do want to congratulate people as the phone orders and pictures of happy people holding their own Holy Grail hit the thread, but I guess I will say my “See you later” before I drink too much Chimay tonight.

This thread has been the emotional roller coaster ride through hell. I remember bidding off a great Hong Kong/Bangkok trip so I’d be in the United States because we were 100% certain the Nexus was going to drop on Nov 17th. Silly wabbit.

I’ve learned a lot, cussed a lot and most importantly laughed a lot throughout all the ups and downs. I mentioned in an earlier post that in some ways our bonding was very similar to what happens to captives in a hostage situation. Verizon was keeping us hostage and we had to rely on each other for support. You all have been a great support group. (Albeit you all are LOUSY enabling sponsors for a Nexaholic!)

Would I have liked to have received the GNex back in November? Of course! But at the same time I’ve enjoyed the extra days of our journey together. Many, many thanks to the mods who kept this a friendly, comfortable place and also to the top posters who kept us entertained. I enjoyed the videos, the jokes, the avatars, the web hacking and the rumors.

See you on the other side my friends when we all have our treasure!

I'm guessing they won't let him walk out of the store with an unactivated phone.

I think they will. I talked with 2 different Verizon reps today, said it was a gift for my brother for X-mas. ;)
They said OK

EDIT: ninja'd, i think
When you say subsidized you mean if you pay 299 to upgrade? I told the rep i had an upgrade which i was going to use, didn't seem to care.
