Rom booted up with boot.img that akshay gave.....hey sam u know how to build a boot.img compaible with rom? if yes i think u shud build a boot.img not modify build one for cm6 maybe booti.mg with cm7 is resposible not unresponsiveness!!
i know how to build things even if i dont know i have great friend who will help me..but one main problemmmmmmmmmmmmm no hard disk space to install ubuntu and compile one so i cant do anything ...
boot.img is not responsible for touch it is the kernel which is doing this ....so we need a new one with new touch drivers to make it work

no everything depends on aditya and playfulgod the only two people who can compile a kernel and fix touchscreen and adb ..i can do anything untill then

did the rom boot or still bootloops

I tried to move the cm folders to ~/android/system as all cm folders were spread in my home folder in that process the kernel folder got wiped away or overwritten:mad:. I am freshly downloading cmkernel.

I had synced playfulgod's git and tried to compile cm7 but it exited giving an error brunch not found:thinking:.

have posted the error to playfulgod.

He has send me link to 2 files. i need to download both and one of which I need to edit. ( thanks to playfulgod for his timely support)

hand editing config files is a very slow process especially when a newbie like me trying to do things for the first time.

so my original cm7 sync is now a mess and kernel git cloned only upto 15 %. very sorry to make you guys wait for some more time.

@ sam, I had gone through the cmkernel tut you had given me. It is mainly regarding compiling an existing cmkernel of 192MB ram system to 288mb ram. however it also gives some insight to the process. thanks.

the tutorial has one more thing that you don't have to edit the them manually instead use a config.gz of cm7 boot.img compiled by playfulgod and use its config to make one if it is sucess then you can try to make touch and adb work...
This is only for cm kernel

thanks for reminding me about the cm7 boot.img by playfulgod. today evening I'll check whether the cmkernel had synced.

I'll extract the config from his boot.img and try to build the kernel.

I tried to sync the original cm7 to the ~/android/system after moving in the folders scattered in my home dir. even tried deleting gitconfig file. the damn thing will sync only into my home folder even after 5 to 6 attempts. so I haven't synced original cm7.

and for playfulgod's cm7 git, I made a user called sam (yeah thats right ;)) and his git has synced into it without any errors, the connection was a bit slow, & the git is around 2 gb as compared to original cm7 which was 4.3 gb.
