Called up sales today and wasn't able to get the 4G promo despite the note on my account. I was told it only applies to the Chicagoland area. It was worth a shot.

Ordering with the rep was going to cost about ~355 with over night shipping. There would be a $50 mail in rebate and that price included a $20 early upgrade free.

I ended up ordering online for $277 with over night shipping, no activation fee and the $50 discount for ordering online is applied instantly to make the phone $249.

I wanted to get my thanks out to all of you in here who helped make this wait so much easier - and so much harder. The wait was a long one for all of us, and I think this thread got a lot of people through it with their sanity relatively in tact. I know it helped me keep mine by giving me a place to glean information, vent, laugh and commiserate.

Mainly I wanted to thank everyone for being so welcoming. It truly is a community that has been built here, with everyone reveling in the good times of potential release dates and supporting each other through the disappointment of each delay. Sure, there were fights, like any community has, but we always worked through them, either by ourselves or with mod mediation, and we came out stronger.

So thank you to Han, BB, Antimony, Vette, Zedster, Scott, Drexel, Stigy, Chief, atrain, Nismo and every other contributor to this thread, of which there are too many to name. And thank you to Steven, Early, OTD and the rest of our fearless mods for their leadership in preventing this thread from going all Lord of the Flies on us. I now feel like I know each of you on a personal level after all the time we've spent here, and will miss what this thread has become. My F5 button won't, but I will.

I am glad that I came back to Android Forums for this launch as the other forum that I frequent, AC Forums, had gotten to the point where a lot of people were just taking their frustration out on everyone else. It was not a fun place to be. This was definitely a positive place to hang out with everyone while we patiently (some more than others ) waited for the Nexus to finally arrive. Thanks again to everyone and I will still be around here for anything and all things Nexus!! I'll probably be around the lounge thread too.

because the people i talked to didnt officially reserve mine, i may not have a nexus today
