Let's talk cases for the HTC EVO 3D.

The case mate Pop is a really nice case. The kickstand is flexible plastic, but is sturdy enough for me. The rubber does show signs of wear and it's tough to get of, but all and all I still really like it.

I do like the Pop case but I've had some issues with it. The power button on my first one split around the edges and pushed through. The inside of the case button doesn't come down far enough to meet the phone button. Case Mate replaced it for me. The replacement cases's kickstand wouldn't close in flush so it was always getting caught on my pocket. It finally fell off and got lost. Now the rubber next to the camera button is warped and bulging out. I do think it's a sturdy case and looks great but I'm getting something else soon.

I know a couple people who returned the casemate didn't like it.My favorite is the Seidio kickstand case it's my favorite.

That is unfortunate that you have had problems with the casemate. It really is an amazing looking case. When you get it out of the box it is a specimen! I like it a lot more than any other case I've used.
I have not had any problems with mine, but I don't exclusively use the pop. I switch between it and several other cases.

I'm waiting on this case I ordered $(KGrHqYOKm8E5JPC1c8TBOek7BSJMg~~60_3.jpg to come. Found it on Ebay for $9 after watching this HTC Evo 3D Rubberized Plastic Case and Holster Combo - White - YouTube . Trust me I have a Seidio Holster case combo for my Evo 4G so I understand quality and truly would like to get this $(KGrHqZ,!jQE5cKFsz(CBOgm(,!mgg~~60_12.jpg Just dont have the $50 for a case right now with holidays com. But it looks like the perfect case! If anyones has the case I ordered already let me know how it worked out. Thanks!

Do you have an eBay link for the one you purchased on there for $9 ??

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

This is a good case for $9. Build is super solid, (with felt inside the case for the glass). I also like the fact you can use the kickstand vertically and horizantally when on a table, desk or whatever. On a sidenote..I could be reaching but I noticed the case itself is not rounded to protect glass when outside the holster the way my platinum case is for my Evo, (which I dropped quite a few times and it always protected corners. I've attached some pics up to show what I mean.

I ended up ordering the expensive Seidio Holster/Kickstand Slider case for $49 anyways because Ebay is the only place I seen it and they only had 1 left after selling 4 in a week. It also has the clip on the holster at the top for extra security to prevent it from coming out. The $9 case slides out the top with decent friction and easily but I'd like that top clamp on holster too. I know it seems expensive to pay that extra $40 just for the holster clamp at top and rounded edges on case but its cheaper then replacing this Brand New Phone should it fall.

Plus the Kickstand horizantal/vertical case itself is worth the $9. Will probably keep it at work once I get Seidio case or use when needed. My bad for the novel/review..

Hello,
God I wished Vaja and Exovault made Cases for the E3D. I have been using an Otterbox Defender since June as it was the only Case that offered protection for the Back Camera at the launch of the phone.

I would have gotten a Commuter if it had Rear Camera protection. At this point, there are a number of Cases that provide near the protection of the Defender without the bulk.
Cheers,
JJ

HTC Tatami. Best case I've seen yet. The back of the case is the same material and texture as the back cover of the phone, and it's about as minimal as a case can get.
Suffice to say, I will be sticking with this case until I get my next phone.

Funny thing is, even though it's one of HTC's official cases for the phone, no one from Sprint that I've talked to even knows the case exists. Rest assured, it does, so find it online. It's perfect.

I picked up the Ballistics HC (HardCore) off ebay for about $35 bucks brand new. Love it. The belt clip case that it comes with is fantastic, I have no fear of it falling out. I also love the fact that I can pull off the Silicone part of the case if I want to put the phone in my pocket. When at work, I throw the silicone back on for extra protection.

Yes, this case FULLY encloses the phone including the camera's and flash. I have noticed no problems with pictures due to the plastic cover over the lenses. The feel of the screen with the built in protector is very nice. Yes, the kickstand does appear somewhat flimsy, but if it does pop off, it is very easy to pop back in. Also like the fact that there are some color choices available. I got the Black/Red one.

I would definately suggest this case to anyone looking to truely protect there phone. All buttons are easily accessable with the full silicone sleave on or off, and best of all, the case is easily taken apart if you want to get your phone out, no need to swear and fight with the case to pry it apart!

OK Im a bit confused, I hope you guys can guide me a bit. Tell me if I am correct:
Seidio has three main types of cases, surface, active, and convert.
Cases are available as follows:
surface
active
convert
surface extended
active extended
convert extended

Also, when two layers from the convert are removed, it becomes a surface case.
My questions:

  1. Is there a convert extended case?
  2. if so, when two layers are removed, does it also become a surface extended case?
  3. if so, i could then buy the seidio car dock, which claims to fit both surface and active extended cases...which means i could get the convert extended case, and remove just two layers (therefore turning it into a surface extended) whenever I want to put it into a car dock. Is this correct?
  4. What is the difference between the active and surface extended cases? I cannot tell much from the pictures..
  5. Which of all the extended cases mentioned above DO NOT cover the red accents in the camera?
Thank you very much for your time.

1. Yes, there is a Convert Extended now seidioonline.com & seidioonline.com

2. Yes, all Converts include a Surface.

3. It should work no problem.

4. The Active includes a silicone cover and a hard plastic shell that covers the back, the sides and front are exposed silicone. The Surface is an all hard plastic shell.

5. The only one that does not cover the red accents is the Surface.

Hope this helps with your decision, I use the Active because there wasn't a Convert extended yet when I got mine. It works good but it does make the power button more difficult to press which is unusual for Seidio cases.

Thanks for the help answering these questions SamuraiBigEd. A few things...

4. Just wanted to add that the ACTIVE is a little thicker than SURFACE.

5. Our extended battery door covers the red accents, so all of the cases do as well. Our regular cases (the ones that don't accommodate the extended battery all allow the red accents to show through).

I hope I don't come off as being jaded, but will Seidio EVER produce an extended case with a kickstand?

It seems like all of your other cases have kickstands, with the exception of your extended battery line. I've also had my Seidio extended battery, and case practically since I've had my 3DVO, and I can tell you that I'm EXTREMELY frustrated that I have to constantly hold or prop up my device every single time when I watch movies (which I do on a weekly basis) only for it to slowly slide and fall down on it's back because of its weight and design.

Last I heard, Seidio was working on a kickstand case for their extended battery users, but that was some time ago in the early part of fall. Can you PLEASE shed some light on the development of this case, if any, and give us some kind of definitive good or bad news.

I've had two OtterBox belt clips break in the two months I've had my EVO 3D. Both instances seem unavoidable - just hung it on the door going through a doorway, the other caught on the chair armrest when sitting down. This is going to be more $$expensive$$ than my Sprint Plan!

Anyone know of another good (or better) phone protector box with a belt clip? Preferably a belt clip that either will not break, or will "break-away" without permenantly ruining the darn box.
