Root No unlock swipe bar after unroot

Ok so i tried unrooting my EVO, seemed successful with S-on until i got to the home screen and there is no swipe lock bar to get to the main home screen. I see all the icons at the top just no swipe bar. Can someone PLEASE help me. Thank You

Have you tried to pull the battery and reboot?
If not we may need to reload the ruu to get the rom working properly again.

Yes i have and still nothing....I downloaded the RUU, should i rename it to PC36IMG? or do i flash the RUU file?

Depends on what file you have. Now that you have S-on, you need to use either an appropriate PC36IMG RUU or an RUU.exe that runs from your PC.

This file is the latest RUU you flash from Hboot, rename to exactly PC36IMG place on the root of your SD card:
Free File Hosting, Online Storage &amp File Upload with FileServe

Power down, Hold volume down and power simultaneously until hboot appears, hboot should scan and find the file, select update, phone will do it's thing, be patient it taks a minute. Once phone reboots you should be good to go.

Let us know how it goes. :)

I downloaded the file. Renamed it, let it scan, rebooted and its still the same. After it scans it doesnt reboot i manually rebooted it by removing the battery, i dono if that matters or not.
I appreciate the help.

When it scans for the file it should ask you to update. You then need to select yes. It'll go through an update process, then ask you to reboot.
If you are not getting this process the file isn't flashing in hboot.

Ok so i took my phone to sprint to see if they can fix it, they couldn't. The rep told me the phone was rooted and theres nothing they can do. I played it off like i didn't know what root was lol. The only reason why he said it was rooted was because when you put the phone to sleep it has a TV off animation. He did say i was going to get a new one in the mail in 3 days. Anyways i get home and did the RUU.exe on a windows computer and it fixed the issue. my EVO is now completely unrooted. THANKS ALL FOR YOUR HELP!

nice glad it worked for you. i might need to change the unrooting process in the guide and have everyone use the ruu.exe instead. not sure why for some the PC36IMG ruu does not work while it works for others. well atleast you are getting a new phone.
