Go into settings > language & input

Then scroll down and make sure Swype has a green check mark next to it (if it doesn't check it)

then press the settings icon next to it and the top menu item is "select input method"...press that and select Swype...

Thanks for detailing it for him, I was just in the middle of like ten things at work and sending like 30 pm's

Is swype ever going to be out of beta and readily available in the market? I was in the beta but got sick of waiting so I gave up...plus the stock keyboard in gingerbread and now ICS are pretty damn good...

Swype primarily concentrates on providing the keyboards to OEM's like Motorola. I think their Beta program is to test out different features and fixes before they send an update out to the OEM's. I read that they will be working on supporting our screen size (or removing the screen size limitations all together) but it won't happen until sometime next year...
