Armbands for Running

Hi, I upgraded from the original Incredible. I used to shove that thing into an iPhone armband for running, but obviously the larger Rezound isn't going to fit. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with armbands for the Rezound or other similar 4.3" phones (the Rezound is a bit longer and thinner than other 4.3" phones due to the 16:9 aspect ratio, right?).

I've seen some online, but either with negative reviews for poor workmanship or no reviews, so if anyone has any personal experience with specific products, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Went from a DINC OG to the Rezound. You really have to be careful when using either when exercising because any mositure under the glass and the device is toast. That said I went with a universal one from ebay.

I tried it out just yesterday and it worked pretty good. It actually held the Rezound in place better than the one I used for my DINC. I had to take my silicon cover off in order to make it fit, and it was a little moist inside when I got done running (I sweat profusely), but I don't think it was enough to make a difference. If I feel like it is going to be a problem I'll put some rice at the bottom and see how that works out.

Hopefully that helps.

...the SPI Belt (Small Personal Items) Belt.

I do a lot of running and biking as a triathlete and love having my phone with me when I'm literally 50 miles from home with a broken bike (it's happened!). So I use my phone for GPS tracking, for tunes and as a backup. I've used the SPI belt for about a year and a half now. Used it with my DINC and I've now used it with my new Rezound. I have the water resistant version and it works great. Neoprene-ish expandable pocket that is fitted to an elastic waistband...hasn't let me down yet!

Where do you guys strap the armband? When I had an iPhone (it was for work so I have no apologies) I purchased a Nike armband and tried to strap it near my upper arm. I had a helluva time trying to keep that thing in place. I had a hard time doing any arm curls with the thing without the Velcro snapping off or my arm going numb from the blood not circulating. I'm going on record to say that my arm "girth" is more attributed to a small extra layer of fat and not some Hulk-Smash type biceps....

Hm, that's the one I found online where the reviews complained about poor workmanship... The Rezound is a heavy phone; I don't want it suddenly ripping and falling out of my arm during a run.

It definitely isn't gonna fall out of it. Velcro felt tight also, possible even a little to tight, that was the only way I felt safe enough with it though

Same here, wish i could say it was because of my massively muscled... err.... anyway it felt really tight, but securely on there

Thought I'd chime back in on this one. After using mine for a few weeks I can say I am looking for another one. It just got to much mositure inside the case when I was running. Water is the killer of small tech devices and I don't want to run the risk of destroying my much beloved Rezound.

I am actually considering putting it in a ziplock baggie and storing it inside my hydration pack for when I run/ride and using bluetooth to connect to headphones as well as my heart rate monitor.
