Do you have a tip/trick for ICS? Post it here.

You may or may not know this, but I just did this by accident, and was amazed.

Drag an app to the quick launch bar at the bottom of the screen. Now drag another app to the same location. It creates a folder there with both apps. Click the folder and both apps pop up just like on the home screen.

No idea if this will actually be useful or not. Just thought it was cool. You can have access to more than 5 common apps from any home screen page.

Joe

Along with this if you place an app in there by accident. No need to delete the entire folder. You can open the folder and drag that app out.

After you've set up your face unlock, you can go back into "Security" and click on "Improve face matching." There, you can set additional "faces" (e.g., with glasses, hats, different angles, different lighting, etc.) I've found that after adding several faces, the face unlocking is even more accurate.

I don't use face unlocking but this is a good tip and an amazing feature.

From homescreen:

app drawer -> settings -> security -> improve face matching

if you use face unlock, the "screen lock" setting should be set to "face unlock" and "improve face matching" is the next thing right below that.

ETA: Doing this definitely seems to speed up the face recognition quite a bit. So especially if you're using face unlock largely to have it unlock super fast, you should take the time to do this a few times.

Where is this setting in Light Flow. Do you have the paid version?

I do have the paid version, for $1.99 why not? Here is what it looks like on mine:

Agreed. I took one of me in a hat, without a hat, in my hoody (hood up), and all kinds of different normal attire.... now it actually surprises me how well it works!

I think you are in too many pages...

It's just Settings > Security

then it should look like this:

ImproveFM.jpg

You can go in there as many times as you want to get a better match. Hope this helps.

***EDIT - Just saw that you said it was a UK version. Guess that's the reason. Sorry, didn't see that before I posted.

No, I don't have those boxes. However, I remember having them a couple of days ago, but now none of my email messages contain those boxes. I wonder what is going on here???

You can choose whether to show the check boxes or not in the GMail settings. If you don't show the check boxes then you select multiple emails by long pressing on one, then pressing on the others.
