Probably a stupid question, but...

I have been following the HD2 for a little while now. From the numerous videos ive watched online of the phone, and from people ive talked to who have used it, the UI seems to be the best thing out there in my opinion. From what I understand, the HD2 is Sense UI running over WM 6.5. My question is: when this Supersonic comes out on android, will it be possible to use the exact same Sense UI that is currently running on the HD2? I know nothing about smartphones, sorry

The Sense on the SS will be the same as whats on the HD2.

Im confused. From the videos ive seen of the HTC Desire, which appears to be running the same UI that the Supersonic will be based on the leaked still shot of the Supersonic, it looks much different than the HD2

HTC HD2

No weather simulation on the home screen. No ability to slide your finger across the bottom to scroll through apps, differnt image viewing and music playing software. Sorry if im missing something obvious here

Well thats disappointing. The HD2 UI seems like the best experience ever to hit a mobile phone. Such a shame its on a WM phone thats going to crappy T mobile.

I have had the TP and it was ok, Android is far better. If all you want that you think is better is the animated weather, dont know what to tell you. I think its a silly gimmick that just runs down battery life.

Ive never really used android so I dont know much more than I see on my friends moto droids. Can android run different themes? I wonder if it would ever be possible to just run a theme like that of the HD2 on the android Supersonic  Im going to get the SS either way, so I guess ill find out eventually :D

Yes, there are different themes other than Sense, but you have to root. Believe me, the WinMo themes arent that great and if you want animated weather, Sense 2.1 for Android does have it. There is a video of a guy playing with his Eris and you can see the snow flakes falling on his home screen.
