Stock AC charger

PN is ETAOU80JBE

Google that, there's a bunch of places. Hardest part was reading the micro print on the adapter!

edit: first hit on google, there's gotta be better deals around though, I'm not endorsing this, just saying it's out there:
Samsung USB Traval Adapter with Detachable Micro USB Cable - Original (OEM) ETAOU80JBE ECC1DU2BBE

Now that you put that I can see the model #. I was searching for the bigger # at the bottom which wasnt coming up with anything.

This looks to be it at amazon for a reasonable price: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Original-Charger-Adapter-Transfer/dp/B005OSURT2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1324424343&sr=8-3

Guys is there a usb car charger anyone can recommend for this phone? I'd prefer one of those dual usb jack ones, but I've read a lot of reviews where there isn't enough juice, so if someone was using it for navigation with the gps and screen on, it was uncharging faster than it was charging.

I'd like to know this as well. Silly me bought the car charger with the extra USB slot when I have a moto and vzw car charger from the OG Droid. Anyone know if those work well with the GNex? I can't find the amp rating for them reliably.

I got an official VZW one at the same time for my OGD, I think the logo glows on it. It works fine with my SGN.

Rule of thumb: use a quality charger. Remember when the cheap ones were making the OGD screen freak out? Sometimes permanently?

Even better rule of thumb: use only OEM chargers :D

I stopped into a Verizon store with a coworker who was buying a case for his Gnex. While there, I asked about the extended battery and got one for 50% off. During checkout, the sales associate told me about a blowout special for 7 wall chargers for the price of one, and included free shipping. So I bought that. Comes out roughly to $4 per charger, so not bad. I know there are plenty of Amazon/Ebay chargers for about that price, but when you add shipping in, they almost are always close to $10. And I've always found that those ebay chargers, even the branded ones, tend to go bad quickly.

Believe it or not, I could use 7 chargers (3 for phones, 3 for travel, 1 for work). So I sprung for the deal.

In any event, the chargers came in yesterday. They are Palm branded, LOL. :D The box states for Palm Pre/Pixi. However, they are just standard plug, with USB to micro-USB cables similar to the one that comes with the Nexus. They work fine for charging, and are very high quality. I'd trust they last far longer than the crap you get elsewhere.

So for anyone looking, I'd look hard at that deal. Sell the extras if you want.

One thing I have noticed about the stock charger is that you can remove the battery and the phone will stay running. However, any other 1A charger that I put it on and try the same thing will not allow this to happen.
That's very interesting. I had a lot of trouble transfering files until I used the cable that came with the Nexus.

Apparently, they might be doing something different in the cable, as a standard USB->micro-USB cable doesn't seem to work as well.

Yeah I have a feeling that they are trying to force people to buy their products. It annoys me but makes sense from a business perspective.

Anybody ever think of getting one of these? Power, Outlet: U-Outlet, Dual Socket/ Dual USB, 110V, TruePower

2.4 amps total, so it should work pretty well.

Brilliant!

BTW VZW dual usb is listed at 2.0A for two ports, so that should be 1.0A on each port, which would even work to charge something like an ipad or other tablet:

Set Your Location

Hah, you need to at least set your zip, then link if it doesn't take you right to the dual usb car adapter.

edit: not the best reviews, ouch... maybe it's not 1.0A per port!

And here's a pic of the stock charger taken with my SGN. My printed Android is in the background, friend printed him and I haven't put it together yet.

I was barely able to read the part number in dim lighting last night...
