Got the BSOD today. Pulled battery and let phone reboot. After reboot screen was almost unreadable it was so dark. I tried going into settings And adjusting the brightness but nothing worked. I did another battery pull and once it booted the screen was fine. Anyone else experience this?
I have gone back and forth with Verizon tech support to get a new phone. They kept telling me to wait for the update. I'm not so impressed after the update. I still drop data, but it comes back on its own without me having to reset or do a battery pull. Wish i would have traded it in before the 14 days was up. This is the last time I will buy a Motorola phone.

What exactly happened prior to your phone become unresponsive? Were you using a specific app? BSOD is really vague as far as telling us what happened to your phone.

As far as your data going out that looks like it's your battery settings. Go to Settings > Battery & Data Manager > Battery Mode. By default it's set to Night mode which will set your phone to turn data off after 15 mins of inactivity. Once you start using your phone it'll turn data back on. Set your battery mode to either Performance or customize it to your liking.

This has solve many people's issues as far as what they thought was data drops when it was just their phone turning off data to conserve your battery.

The last thing I remember doing before the BSOD was I sent a text message (using handcent) maybe 5-10 min before I noticed it. I went to pick up the phone and it was just dead. I have not had major problems with the BSOD. It has happened 3 times, and weirdly enough all 3 times I was sitting at my desk.

As far as the data drops, I was on night mode. I will try the performance mode. According to the description the night mode should not shut off data until 10PM-5AM. Unfortunately this happens all day long. I noticed several times today I was on a phone call and once I hung up I had no data connectivity for several minutes.
