Help Losing internet (3g and 4g) altogether

So this is the 2nd occurrence so I thought I would post. The first day of receiving my phone my 4g randomly dropped but my phone would not switch to 3g. Just no internet. I changed the network to CDMA ONLY and nothing. Whats odd is my text messaging and voice calling worked perfectly. I was also showing 3 bars but no 3g 4g symbols. I am in a strong 4g 3g area.

There was no real fix to my problem but it randomly fixed itself. Now a week later it happened again. I have restarted my phone twice and nothing. No internet. Phone and text working perfectly and fast.

BTW this message was sent using my old droid x on 3g with a full 4 bars.

Anyone else experience this?

Time to visit Verizon?

Yes, many have. You'll be told your in the minority but your not. There are a few threads where this issue is debated. Some say its a 4g "interpretation" error, and ignore the loss of 3g, others understand it to be a radio error, hopefully corrected by the release of android 4.0.3.

Stick around, just dont point out too many flaws or the mobs with pitchforks will burn you for blasphemy.

The same just happened to me. Ive been without 4G or 3G service for bout half an hour. It just shows 2 bars without a 3G or 4G symbol next to it. Ive also done a reboot and it is still showing no data connection. Im not sure if its maintenance or something temporary but all i know is it better be fixed by the time i wake up at 6am. Haha btw im in san diego CA. Maybe its a local issue. Not sure where youre located.

Just happened a few hours ago. Went to the gym noticed I have no signal. Just got back. Not sure if I had signal at home or not but I was on wifi.

I am in San Diego as well and I have been without 4G or 3G for the past hour or so. I noticed it when I was getting out of watching Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Really good movie btw. Great performances. Anyway let's hope this is cleared up sometime soon. This is my first 4G phone and I would love to actually be able to use it...

When it works, it screams. 30mbps is the fastest ive tested at so far. Lets hope vzw doesnt cap speeds like they do everything else.
